Game Thread 2020-21 Season | Game #17 | Lakers @ Cavaliers | January 25, 2021

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I understand, what you're saying but do you really think a player that's almost 30 is going to listen to a bunch of guards that's in their early 20s.

Garland just turn 21 today and Sexton turned 22 three weeks ago.

It's the coaches job to tell Drummond to stop his bullshit especially when you have two young guards. This is the reason, why the Pistons traded him because he wants to act like he's Embiid or Jokic when he's not. He needs to be told rebound, defend and make your layups nothing more.

With that said,Sexton and Garland needs to tell Drummond to give them the ball but Bickerstaff needs to help them too because he's the one allowing it to happen.
Then the question is does Sexton and Garland have what it takes to be leaders? Hell Magic didn’t have a problem telling his vets (even a champion like Kareem) what they needed to! Neither did Zeke, Kidd, or currently Ja or Tre Young. If Sexton and Garland (who are supposed to lead this team’s offense) don’t have the cajones to command respect and leadership then we are done.

Aren’t people allowed to be pleased when opponents miss shots? It’s a time-honored tradition, going back to that Aztec game where the losing team got sacrificed to the gods...

Actually it was the winner who got sacrificed, specifically the person who scored the goal (one goal won the game) It was considered an honor. They would play 1 game every season so 4 sacrifices a year and on a leap year they would play a 13th game. The winner of that would receive the honor of joining the secret order of priests. I could be confusing this with how the Mayans played but probably the same deal.

I've seen Sexton and Garland ask for the ball. On top of that,Bickerstaff encourages Javale and Drummond to bring the ball up the court which makes no fucking sense because most of the turnovers are from them. Especially, from Drummond ass..

Curious what gives you the impression he encourages it? Did he mention it in an interview? Not saying you’re wrong but this would completely change my opinion of JBB if this was true. He did bench Drummond the other game for that kind of nonsense.

Perhaps the FO is encouraging it to get his trade value up?
