I guess I think of Justifying a win as actively defending it, saying it was a good outcome. And I didn't see anyone do that nor do I feel like my posts were doing that. Maybe there's a context I'm missing.
I guess in addition to the 7-8 guys who were already out injured we could have just held out Love, Sexton, Allen, or Okoro with mystery pregame injuries and played with a 6 man rotation. TBH, the way Boston played and seemed unengaged tonight, I'm not 100% sure that would have guaranteed a loss.
To me, it was a bad win.
The game felt like the Twolves Detroit game that I had playing in the background last night. Whoever won that game was actually going to lose with what's at stake in this draft, barring some lottery luck.
To prove it, after Detroit lost the game without even showing up, they extended their coach for more years
We really need some lottery luck now. And we'll need even more if we face a shell of a Brooklyn team looking to rest up before the playoffs.
In theory, you want to commend the Cavs and their coaches for winning a game... I guess (shrugs)
