Almost anybody can have a sick shooting night but nobody in NBA history ever came off the bench to score 37 points with 10 assists and 8 threes. This was beyond sick. One of the great things about the NBA is almost anyone can have a sick shooting night. If you're up against a player that hot there's really nothing you can do. Other than Cedi (who had been very hot) we were hitting threes at a ridiculous percentage. Knicks fought back hard in the 4th but we just kept scoring.
Windler has made 6 of his last 9 three-point attempts. He's at 50% for the season and 55% overall. I think he has a shot at being a "pretty good wing".I think if this team keeps playing this way, we can pick up a good wing pretty easily.
Winning makes a lot of the pieces look good.
Exactly. Late first round draft picks are practically worthless. Can it with the Rubio trade talk.

Winning happens because a lot of the pieces ARE good.
What's the fascintation with this guy? He's playing behind Harden and Deandre Bembry, who averages 6.0 ppg for his career. He's played 18 minutes this season. He's a rookie picked at #27.Rockets pick will be valuable at 31-35 for sure
gotta see if they can pry Cam Thomas from BKN asap
this team is going to be hurting without Sexton as a scoring threat as the season progresses imo even though he has been doing other things his scoring ability always had defenses focus
no fascination just a guy who is probably as available as Danny Green was here as a rook that can fill it up and is not getting ANY playing time that is meaningful for an org that went and depleted all tradeable draft assets for the next several seasons pushing it all in on a player in Harden who is really struggling with the rule change. Now they have no Irving and probably as is are not a true contender, but if they still think they are it's time to steal away a kid like Thomas before it is too expensive. What's the fascintation with this guy? I honestly never heard of Thomas but I'd rather stick with Okoro and Windler replacing Sexton's 29 minutes a game, as well as upping Rubio's minutes from 28 to 32 and maybe increasing Garland's minutes by a couple.
We also don't know how long Sexton will be out. It might only be a few weeks.
Who said anything about Nembhard or Pangos? We're talking about Okoro and Windler taking Sexton's minutes until he gets back, with maybe a little more court time for Garland and Rubio.no fascination just a guy who is probably as available as Danny Green was here as a rook that can fill it up and is not getting ANY playing time that is meaningful for an org that went and depleted all tradeable draft assets for the next several seasons pushing it all in on a player in Harden who is really struggling with the rule change. I mean they have signed multiple ring chasers all of whom will get minutes this season over Thomas because of the orgs dedication to NOW. I am inclined to think he could be gotten pretty reasonably if they get a win now useful injury insurance player back and or a high 2nd they can flip for one.
We will need continued improvement from others trying to step in for Sexton and they should be alright but it is less scoring overall having to fill that void, but the numbers don't tell the entire story this season with him for the attention teams had to give him or would have had to once his shot started falling. There really isn't anyone that can do what he could do on the court on this team even though so far this season it was on a far lesser scale than needed in previous seasons, the need for someone who can blow by anyone and be a key scorer off turnovers in transition is huge.
So unless you think Nembhard is a diamond on the bench waiting to be that guy, they should at least inquire about somebody like Thomas. Of course there is always Pangos but he aint that guy either
37 points on 7/8 shooting is almost an all star level? lolHow good is Rubio if he's shooting like this btw? That's almost an all star level.
37 points on 7/8 shooting is almost an all star level? lol
Almost? So you have to do better to make the all star team than 37 points a game and 86.25% from 3? LMAO
They are not going anywhere with Mason Plumlee as their starting center..Charlotte did too in the recent game. I counted the wing size players (6'6"-6'7") that played for them. Out of ten players 6 of them were wings and of the other 4 players two were PGs, and two centers with one of the latter only playing 4 minutes.
I'm in love with Darius' jumper tooThe beginning of a love connection
