Game Thread | 2021-2022 Season | Game #17 | Warriors @ Cavs | Nov. 18, 2021

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Haven't been able to watch much this year so far until tonight. Things that stuck out to me: Okoro is bad, and so is Valentine; Davis should play more, he still has something in the tank; they miss Sexton as he's the only guy we have who can go get a shot when defenses clamp down; Wade looked okay, but Windler didn't; surprised at Love playing pretty well. Overall they competed well for such a depleted team.

It was literally impossible to play worse than Okoro did for 6 mins straight. Worst I’ve ever seen curry defended. He usually has to make a couple tough shots to do the “wow he’s amazing” explosion beat down thing.

He probably singlehanded gave up 25 of GS 4th quarter points
Maybe that's more of an issue of playing single coverage against Curry? If fresh legs is all it takes to slow down Curry then I don't think he would be a HOFer.

It's on JBB to manage minutes better throughout the game rather than over relying on guys. Okoro sucked ass but JBB is not putting him in a good position by playing him the whole fourth.

It's same kind of dumb shit with Windler. JBB has no fucking clue what to do with the guy. Doesn't play Ed Davis at all up until everyone is injured.

He's a fucking terrible coach.

Firstly, we could have defended better. The defense was a mistake schematically.

But my whoooole post talks about the offense. You just need to respond and you can't do that with Okoro.
I saw. My compact is with the offense too. I'm not defending** Okoro or saying he should have been on the floor. I'm saying Steph was going to go off and not be held down in the 4th regardless. I understand that that isn't a genuine extension of your points so maybe there was no need for me to respond directly to you post but sometimes I'm just drawn magnetically to respond specifically to you lol

Dropped a little verse in the Okoro thread.

** my computer keeps auto correcting defending to defining. Has done it multiple times over the last week

I’m not betting against the Cavs. I just have a lot of confidence in how terrible JBB is managing a rotation. It’s like betting on Bill Belichick, just for the opposite reasons.

These 4th quarter rotations have been awful all year.

We get leads and then slowly lose them when the 4th rolls around.

And even when the whole team was healthy, he had decided that Okoro was part of the closing unit and it made absolutely no sense at all.

I'm not even going to read or engage in any more of this shit. If you got beef with the last few games then you're just one of those.

No team in the NBA can sustain 4/5 starters out while also 2 of your 7-9 rotation options out.

Cavs are missing 60 points, and it showed tonight, it showed last night.

9-8, hurt, whatever. Unlucky bullshit in this town in all sports.

Honestly don’t even care if you bet against the Cavs.

It’s the betting FOR the Warriors that hurt me the most, Danny boy.

I could live with doing it in the name of $…but with a strict no GS/Boston rule

Missing four starters plus Cedi & going up against the best team in the NBA on the second night of a back to back and third game in four nights.

Nets and Warriors back to back.

We scored 81 points through three quarters. There was nothing wrong with scheme or anything else. We ran out of gas and the #1 defense in the NBA turned it up.
When you have the wackiest sub patterns in the league even when you are relatively healthy, you may assume there is someone to blame... being on a 2nd night of a back to back is your excuse? Don't play your guys 24 min straight. Like... what?
I can see our guys are winded from here. Find some fresh legs.

Losers mentality.

Come, engage me.

You win with what you have and make the most out of it. You don't become oblivious to mistakes and faults because you were supposed to lose or you think your unclouted players got no chance against Curry. Cavs were up 13 to enter the 4th. Watch how badly coached they were since then.

We only had a six man rotation tonight as Davis and Love split one position and everyone else played most of the game. The remaining minutes were wasted on Dylan Windler who in 18 minutes missed one shot from three, had no points and only 1 rebound, 1 assist and 3 turnovers. Unplayable at the moment and really needs to be completely out of the rotation ASAP. Zero points and only one shots in 33 minutes the past two games, yet there’s far more vitriol directed at Okoro who is rebounding and scoring as well as playing defense. No, he can’t shut down Curry - nobody can. At least he tries.

Okoro 10-7-3 with two steals in 43 minutes. Way too many minutes and missed all four threes he took but he did put up 10 shots. He’s being given way more minutes and responsibility than he’s ready for due to being shorthanded. That will be corr3ctedcas we get players back starting Monday.

Not trying to put Ed Davis back in the game was a real head scratcher. He's fresh. he hasn't played all year. He played 28 minutes tonight and he played well.

To just watch that game go up in smoke and ride the same crew for 9 minutes in a row, who all played last night and some who have played a bunch of minutes recently was...weird.

The Cavs were losing that game regardless, but still, 6 points in a quarter is just inexcusable shit.

”Even when you are relatively healthy”. Yeah, we weren’t missing many players tonight - just four starters & Cedi.

JBB gave one set of fresh legs 18 minutes and he left a dump on the court. 0 points and three turnovers.

Isaac Okoro was the fifth pick and started every game last season that he played in and averaged 30+ minutes a night.

Yes, there's a little more expectations for him than Dyland Windler, believe it or not.

And no, he's not playing defense.

I was talking about the time we weren't injured obviously. He still had shitty rotation.

I have no idea why you are stanning Okoro so much. He looks like a bust. He gets ample if chances and a super long leash. He was the 5th pick.

Windler is a shooter that barely plays who's on a very short leash. Has no confidence. A shooter with no confidence on a very short leash that has nothing being run for him. What do you expect. And still, he impacts the game more. Even when you don't see it.
