As decisive a win as this was it could have been even bigger if Doncic didn't have a career 3-point shooting night. He came in hitting 34% and went 7-for-11. With seven minutes to go the Cavs were up by 31.
Great to see Markkanen playing like the guy we thought we were getting for Larry Nance Jr. He got off to a rough start but he's starting to get comfortable now - 24 points on 15 shots plus 8 rebounds.
The Cavs were +30 with Rubio on the floor despite him going 3-for-11. His shooting problems continue, but he had 7 rebounds and 6 assists.
When Garland and Allen are on the floor together it looks like the NBA All-Star game with lots of lobs and dunks. The difference was the Mavs were trying to stop them.
The Cavs dominated the glass 48-33. My only complaint was the 19 turnovers. They could have easily scored 120+. They still got 114 against a team allowing 106 and that's with a garbage unit the last few minutes with no scorers.
The Cavs went 10-for-19 on 3's. They did not attempt many but they made the ones they did. The middle pick-and-roll was working so well there was no need to launch many.
Allen did a great job despite the presence of 7'3" Porzingis, 7'2" Brown, 6'10" Kleber, and 6'10" Powell. Jarrett tore them up with a 28 and 14.
The Cavs are getting healthy at the right time because the schedule really gets brutal now. The next five games are against teams that are 13-8 13-8, 13-7, 13-8, and 14-8.
Dallas is now 1-8 against teams over .500.
