Game Thread | 2021-2022 Season | Game #22 | Cavs @ Heat | Dec. 1, 2021

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Sir, it is a game thread. In the game day section. Literally a place designed for play by play reactions, overreactions, hot takes, shitty takes, shitty jokes, threatening violence against opposing players and sometimes even cavs players or coaches, objectifying the current female Cav sideline reporter, dick jokes, and many other things that are not meant for the civilized world or even the rest of this forum.

I suggest you get used to it!
I'm learning, I'm learning!

Without their two best players the undersized Heat were no match for the Cavs, who outscored them in all four quarters and had an amazing 14 blocked shots. Kevin Love was the star with a +29 in 22 minutes, scoring 22 points on only 9 shots while kicking in six rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and even a block.

Allen was 19/11 with five blocks and a +26 in 31 minutes. Mobley has a line of 17/11/4 with four blocks. The Cavs big men feasted, except for Markkanen who went from hot to cold in one game.

I agree 20 turnovers is way too many and once again Garland was the leading culprit with five. But he played 37 minutes and was a +23 so a few turnovers were not a problem - against this team. Rubio was an insane +38 in 26 minutes. When he wasn't on the floor the Cavs were outscored by 12.

The Heat shot only 37.6%, but it's tough to make shots that get swatted back atcha. Herro and Strus kept them in the game in the first half but it looked like Herro got tired in the second and the Cavs made sure Strus didn't get any more uncontested looks after halftime.

Kyle Lowry had 7 points and 4 assists in 28 minutes. He looked old. Duncan Robinson, who usually shreds the Cavs, was their best friend tonight going 0-for-7 with no points, no rebounds, and no assists in 20 minutes. Wow.

The Cavs were 16-for-31 on 3's, which means they hit more than 50% of their 3's in back-to-back games on the road. And that's without Cedi Osman, who leads the team in 3-point shooting percentage. Even Stevens was knocking them down and Mobley went 2-for-3.

That was a nice win in a building where the Cavs have not won in 10 years, but I'm not sure how good the Heat are without Butler, Bam, and Morris.

There are no easy games against the Heat, no matter who is playing for them. It’s a weird cultish culture that Spo & Riley have perfected, and beating them in Miami is an accomplishment, even with the guys they have out.

I have never seen a forum with more knee-jerk reactions than what I see here. The Cavs have their second straight blow-out win over two supposedly very good teams. But here, I read things like: We got a bit sloppy. Committed too many turnovers. JBB doesn't know how to substitute. Rubio is playing like shit (even though he was a +38). Mobley is having a terrible game (because he was 0-3 at one point). Mark' is off. Blah, blah, blah. 1000 things happen in a basketball game -- they won't all be good.
Try reading the Watercooler Browns forum on game days for knee jerk reactions.

We're all just hungry again for the gigantic homoerotic sausagefest lovebombing that was the game thread the moment we won the 2016 NBA championship. That's all. Dont hold it against us. Thats how @The Oi has us trained.
I go back and ready that thread about once a week. Basically, whenever I feel down…

I can't think of a time I've ever watched one team pile up 14 blocks, let alone it being us. I only caught the second half, but that itself was a fun ride. Was interesting to see that Mobley had a ho-hum first half and then watch him slide into a 17/11/4/1/4 night. This kid is so special.

Miami without Butler and Bam will obviously struggle to score, but they're still stout defensively and had decent 3 point shooters out there. So it's a solid win, mentally more than anything else. And give props to JBB for another game well-coached.

I’m annoyed about how much better Herro is now. Fucker.
it is complete bullshit that the Heat have the luxury of calling him off the bench when fully healthy. that's the kind of stacking that separates the best from the middling.

Herro has legit "NBA star" moves, Cavs were lucky he had some misses

Sexton for Herro! Done and done!
