The Bucks needed 3-3 threes from Giannis and a 6-7 from the free throw line performance.

It's understandable, but it's frustrating when the team can't quite get these games. Give it time.

It’s what separates the elite from the merely good. The top teams have an extra gear that we haven’t found yet. It’s kicks in for those teams with about 5 minutes to go.

Cavs playing like they're on the second night of a b2b on the road against the defending champs after playing the #1 offense in the league yesterday

Cavs showed great fight despite not really having it tonight. Giannis played like an MVP down the stretch.

I think Lauri is very narrowly a net positive player. He’s an absolute sieve defensively. Terrible feet. No strength at all.

But he’s so deadeye from distance.

I feel like this was the preseason scouting report but it's been the opposite so far this year.

He was traumatized, in the early going. The imprint of “Spalding” across his forehead probably hurts, too.

They showed it up close and it clearly said "Wilson", mate.

JBB had to sub him out for Stevens because he was getting picked on defensively.

Middleton went right by him. Next play, he doesn't fight through a screen and Middleton gets Garland.

Does it again and JBB then has to take him out.

Laurie was not the problem tonight.. Okoro, Garland and Osman had no jazz. Were it not for Love, would not have been close. And Stevens hitting 50% from downtown, he might take Okoros job..

Just got outclassed by a better team and better coach in the 4th quarter.

JBB coached a better game than he did in Utah but still made multiple almost identical mistakes. And we now have multiple very similar losses.

Yesterday it was all on him though. Tonight it was not. The players just got outclassed late.

But he really needs to stop playing Markannen on these elite perimeter stars and expecting them to not just do whatever they want.

He neeeds to lengthen the rotation.

He needs to reign in Okoro.

He needs to do something to figure out how to draw up a decent ATO. We have to be the worst team in the league coming out of a timeout.

Good effort again. Another moral victory. Yay.

Still 13-12. Still only losing to title contenders. Even though you’d think we could steal one here or there….


Didn’t think we were winning this game at any point tonight. It hurt less.

Onto the Bulls. We can beat them for sure. Then hopefully run off a couple against Minny and Sacramento.

Based on the shooting #s, I’m not sure how we kept it under 20. Garland had 9 assists, but shot like shit. They roughed up Mobley and he didn’t look very comfortable. Okoro was ghastly. Rubio missing his typical 70% of his shots. Cedi way off.

As always they fought. But as has happened against most of the elites they’ve played, those teams consistently get good looks late and the Cavs are disjointed. Most of the guys need to be fed offensively, so it puts a ton of pressure on Garland and Rubio. We are a couple years away from Mobley getting strong enough to go to work on his own. Not much of a Sexton guy, but his ability to attack and get his own is missed on nights like tonight.

Just a league average wing player would make this team so much better.

Yep. Felt like the Brooklyn games. We just didn't have the firepower and you felt like at some point they would stop keeping us at arm's length and put the foot on the gas.

That stretch of Helen Keller bricks in the 4th quarter was pretty crazy because even Garland got in on the fun. Bizarre.

I'd just kill for a way to get an average starting shooting guard here.

I don't know how to make it happen.

I'm obviously willing to move Okoro at this point for a bag of chips, but even then a league average shooting guard is making like 15 million a year and we don't have the contracts to make it work.

And if they aren't making that, if they're making less than that, then they aren't being traded as they're underpaid and at that point valuable.
