Game Thread | 2021-2022 Season | Game #25 | Cavs @ Bucks | Dec. 6, 2022 | 8:00 p.m.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The Bucks needed 3-3 threes from Giannis and a 6-7 from the free throw line performance.

It's understandable, but it's frustrating when the team can't quite get these games. Give it time.

We played hard, but the Bucks are just a better team. They are defending champs, and might have the current best player in the NBA in his prime and 9th season. They have shooters, defenders, ect. Well constructed.

But it took 9 years to get here, we are on year 3 or so plus we just got our super star. We will be fine. I just enjoy how hard this team competes...on the road....2nd night of a back to back...against the reigning champs

Just got outclassed by a better team and better coach in the 4th quarter.

JBB coached a better game than he did in Utah but still made multiple almost identical mistakes. And we now have multiple very similar losses.

Yesterday it was all on him though. Tonight it was not. The players just got outclassed late.

But he really needs to stop playing Markannen on these elite perimeter stars and expecting them to not just do whatever they want.

He neeeds to lengthen the rotation.

He needs to reign in Okoro.

He needs to do something to figure out how to draw up a decent ATO. We have to be the worst team in the league coming out of a timeout.

Good effort again. Another moral victory. Yay.

Still 13-12. Still only losing to title contenders. Even though you’d think we could steal one here or there….

Didn’t think we were winning this game at any point tonight. It hurt less.

Onto the Bulls. We can beat them for sure. Then hopefully run off a couple against Minny and Sacramento.
Stealing a key game here or there is when you know you have an awesome up and coming coach. I'm rooting for the guy.

If we substituted Kemba for Okoro I feel like that we win more games, and that's with Kemba having a pretty off year.

It wasnt so bad. A bit of a give late in the game, and depending on Garland too much to perform at an unsustainably high level. Let the kid have a bad game; team still needs to generate points better than today.

But lets not forget, those are literally the best teams we played lately - from Brooklyn to Phoenix to Utah to Bucks. It can only get easier from here on.

Rubio does a lot of other stuff. Garland, when not scoring, is a negative. He offers literally zero resistance on D.
Gotta love when the fanboys of the international player on the team come in and start tearing apart all the other guys on the team, including the players who are objectively better, because they can't handle any criticism of their guy whatsoever. Saw the same thing with Delly.

I love Rubio but he does need to shoot better because he's been in a slump. Garland also had a bag game. We're relying on him too much, but it's not his fault considering Okoro is tanking the offense and Rubio is the team's only other creator.

I think Lauri is very narrowly a net positive player. He’s an absolute sieve defensively. Terrible feet. No strength at all.

But he’s so deadeye from distance.
I don't know could Cavs developmental coaches work on it, bc I don't think its so much about strength but the technique. His stance and footwork in defensive or offensive situations is just bad. The strength he might have doesn't turn into dynamic effort. That's why we have him defending smaller guys and in offense not using him inside. I wish he could learn a bit better technique in the inside, both ends of the floor.

Rubio's shooting is just coming back to earth to what he normally is.

This is what he is. If he could shoot the way he shot most nights then he'd have been a multi-time allstar and wouldn't be a back-up at 31.

He's still doing his job most nights. Thought tonight he played really well. 9 assists to 0 TOs and they were legit, playmaking assists.

Not one of those where you just pass it over to the next guy and he takes some step back 3 with a hand in his face assists. He was creating.

we would be in an incredible spot if we converted half these competitive games vs contenders into wins. Luckily for us we are in year 1 of our franchise player and this competitive already

Rubio has shot above 40% from the floor exactly once in the past 9 games. That's not coming back to Earth - that's digging a hole to China.

With Sexton out and Mobley crashing into the rookie wall offensively, Rubio is going to have to score more than he is or stop shooting as much as he is.

Hard to win when your "shooting" guards combine for 3-17, and 1-11 from 3.

We needed Cedi to show us that Okoro was getting too many minutes, but instead, he reverted to 2020-21 Cedi, where he would shoot 1-8 from 3 and take us out of games on the reg. I sure hope he's not back to his old self. If he is, it might be time to give Stevens more burn, at the 2.

Markk, Allen, and Love tried to keep us in it, but could not overcome such awful play by our guards.

Bucks killed us on the boards, too.

If we substituted Kemba for Okoro I feel like that we win more games, and that's with Kemba having a pretty off year.
I’m not a huge fan of Windler but at this point he needs to be given Okoro’s mins!

I’d probably characterize it as coming back down to earth tbh. His career FG% is 39% and peaked at 41.8% in his prime five years ago.

This is Rubio.
