Game Thread | 2021-2022 Season | Game #47 | Thunder @ Cavs | Jan. 22, 2022

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm not suggesting [Windler is] the answer to all of the Cavs problems, but his skillset just happens to fill exactly what the Cavs need, yet he barely sees the floor. Why? For Cedi Osman, Lamar Stevens, Isaac Okoro and Dean Wade.
JBB said Wade will step in for Markkanen so they can continue playing the same style with three bigs. If Windler starts they have to change their approach.

Windler will continue to compete with Stevens for backup minutes. One good thing I saw last night was Windler attacked the rim and shot a floater. He missed the shot and got called for a charge, but at least he tried to finish at the rim. Normally in those situations he gets in the air and passes, frequently resulting in a turnover. If he wants to play in this league he needs to develop a floater off one foot like Garland or pull up for a fallaway in the lane like Stevens. Or the Okoro method of hanging onto the ball, taking a body shot, then flipping it off the glass on the way down, which Ja Morant has made into an art form.

All three shots are fine, but he needs to develop one of them that he can go to when his 3 gets closed out.

Not sure why Okoro should automatically get burn over Stevens and Windler, if he is just going to stand in the corner and turn the ball over. _I_ can do THAT, if you NEED me to. Stevens at least plays with some aggression. And Windler can at least SHOOT, if someone tells him he’s ALLOWED to.

I also think Okoro shouldn't get minutes over Okoro. Okoro is too inconsistent kn offense and is a worse defender than Okoro

Lauri was a spacer that teams needed to guard. Wade is not. Need to start Windler to regain some of that lost spacing.

3rd in the division…

:p
Ha! Since the divisions no longer matter for playoffs, I hadn't paid attention to that. It used to be CRITICAL when only the division winners and one wild card were in the playoffs. But I go back a long time.

Cavaliers make the top 5 NBA plays of the night. Who is it, and which number? Find out below.
