I dont even know where he was going with the comment. I mean if it was funny many of us could have gotten away with it, but it really just sounded racist, but even though futurdome is a trash poster, i hope he wasnt being racist on purpose. I am just confused, like i wanted to be in on the joke but i dont think there was a joke to be in on, lol

Back when I was there , I went to either Jim’s on South St (not the West Philly one) or Big John’s on Rt 70 in Cherry Hill. Since I live in NYC now, I’ve ordered from Campo’s a few times via Goldbelly (Jim’s as well) and they’re not bad. Guess they’re on Market and apparently have been around awhile even though I’d never heard of them . Never a fan of Pat’s, Gino’s or Tony Luke’s which opened an outpost in NYC briefly twice
Tony Luke’s rules all. *drops mic*

Isn’t futuredome the guy who had some really creepy antisemitic posts some time ago?
Had to do double takes all the time to be sure I wasn't mixing up those two. They share a disdain for DG, I hope both of their posts aren't reflective of deeper seeds and hopefully... These situations can serve as some sort of lesson going forward instead of double down effect.

Who's to say?

Each of us always capable of growth. Edginess can be fine unless it goes over the top. There are lines. Can't tell you how many times I was about to report @PIP . ( ;) )

Dunno what was said here, but I think the mod teams have done a good job as well as those utilizing board features.

Thank you all!

That’s the thing...the fact his mind immediately went there, even as a “joke”, says a lot about him. You don’t make a comment like that unless you’re inherently preoccupied with race.

I am sure I have made a joke about a black player of white player, but you have to make sure its really funny to make sure no one thinks its racist, plus you really need a positve reputation before you post it so people know it was a joke. I think I could have gotten away with the comment if i said it, but then again i would never say that comment, wasnt funny...wasnt appropriate, but mainly just wasnt funny.

I'm gonna be a killjoy but I'd say its time ALL of the racial basketball jokes probably be retired.

I see too much of the "White Guys Can't Play Basketball" style of jokes here and it just feels like its kinda goofy to still be making those jokes at this point.

Did... Did you edit this?

.. never mind. :chuckle:

Big ASCII is alive and well.

I think we are seeing a point among the Cavs where they are overthinking things at the free throw line. There was a time where they were really good and consistent. A few games pass and the team as a whole slipped in percentages. I'm sure this was brought to their attention.

So... Each trip to the line leads to overthinking it and maybe a bit of added pressure. Tonight it was mostly Mobley that struggled from the line and unfortunately it came during important free throws. He started his career on fire (80+ percent) from the free throw line and looked smooth and consistent doing it.

I think he and others may be pressing a bit now that the team has struggled so often from there, but I also think fatigue is setting in for him in particular. He doesn't shy away from contact and is taking a lot of it each night. I think he's been doing a good job conserving energy for impact moments but it's taking a toll in other areas.

Mobley's season percentage is now close to his college percentage (68ish/69ish percent). I believe he will turn it back around to get to the mid 70s range.

The team as a whole will get back to it! They came up huge in the Brooklyn game from the line. Cavs have some pretty decent+ shooters from there scattered on the team.
