.. never mind. :chuckle:

Big ASCII is alive and well.

I think we are seeing a point among the Cavs where they are overthinking things at the free throw line. There was a time where they were really good and consistent. A few games pass and the team as a whole slipped in percentages. I'm sure this was brought to their attention.

So... Each trip to the line leads to overthinking it and maybe a bit of added pressure. Tonight it was mostly Mobley that struggled from the line and unfortunately it came during important free throws. He started his career on fire (80+ percent) from the free throw line and looked smooth and consistent doing it.

I think he and others may be pressing a bit now that the team has struggled so often from there, but I also think fatigue is setting in for him in particular. He doesn't shy away from contact and is taking a lot of it each night. I think he's been doing a good job conserving energy for impact moments but it's taking a toll in other areas.

Mobley's season percentage is now close to his college percentage (68ish/69ish percent). I believe he will turn it back around to get to the mid 70s range.

The team as a whole will get back to it! They came up huge in the Brooklyn game from the line. Cavs have some pretty decent+ shooters from there scattered on the team.
Yeah - first time around, my jizz stream didn’t turn out like I wanted. Spacing issues. I guess I needed Lauri.

On a funny note: Reddish wanted out of Atlanta so he could get more minutes and be more of the man. So he goes to NY to do that.

...Thibs neither plays him nor DNPs him. Just sits him in purgatory.
Isn't he hurt?

I'm gonna be a killjoy but I'd say its time ALL of the racial basketball jokes probably be retired.

I see too much of the "White Guys Can't Play Basketball" style of jokes here and it just feels like its kinda goofy to still be making those jokes at this point.
The thing that annoys me to no end is the fact that white players usually only get compared to other white players. I don't understand why.
Instead of comparing to a black player that makes more sense, people will try to find someone random in the 60s to compare him to.

Unless, of course, it's Paul Pierce.

Random but John Lurie is sort of a musical and film hero for me, so it was pretty cool to see it pop up on the timeline
That’s a guy who hasn’t watched the Cave once this year if THAT was the game that won him over. Wasn’t familiar with him. See he’s a sax player. I assume a New Yorker as we weren’t playing New Orleans or Chicago. Don’t think it’s legal to play jazz elsewhere.

St Louis would like a word...

Dean Wade had a huge play where he poked the ball away from his man and the ball rolled into the backcourt. Wade was a step behind and it looked like he had no chance to get the ball but he dove full out while the Knick player just bent over to pick it up. Wade came up with the ball, threw it to Garland, who got it to Okoro for the layup. Just a huge hustle play that got us 2 points in a 2-point win.

Windler also had a 2 pointer.

Cedi had 2 assists that lead to 4pts, going above and beyond the difference

No he has been cleared to play from his ankle injury. There are some weird quotes from Thibs like he will "try to find minutes for him" then later said how they most likely need to shorten up their rotation. Thibs backed up those quotes by giving him 5 minutes of playing time against the clipper then not playing him against us.

This kind of stuff isn't new with Thibs. They brought in Kemba Walker and he has done similar stuff to him. When Rose was healthy, they didn't play Walker at all.

That could well have been the winning two points, Whammer.
You're right. In retrospect, without that immaculate cut by Windler and the layup that went exactly through the net, we would have had to go to overtime. Undisputable fact.
