Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If we had Allen we would have beat the Sixers. We had Markkanen on Embiid and he got 35.

I agree that we allow too many uncontested corner 3's by getting beat off the dribble or by doubling a big in the low post.

I just don't like giving up any open 3s due to over-helping. There are more players in the NBA that can make open 3s then there are guys who have to put the ball on the floor and beat their man/create for themselves because their open 3 is no longer open.

Yes. This is also a big reason why I hate the zone. Really bails out guys who can’t make a play and are bothered by pressure.

Good post. Regarding Love, doing perimeter defending well is damn hard work – footwork, moving hands, chasing, stopping, turning gets you exhausted pretty fast - even young, smaller players, not to mention a 33-year-old big man like Love. Regardless, all in all, his contribution to the Cavs this season has been vital and he’s been a delight to watch, not only when he’s on the court but also how he cheers on from the sidelines.
This is true, but since he's such a negative on defense, I feel like we should be getting more out of him on offense than we currently are.

I mean... when Love is on the court, we obviously need him to score from the perimeter. That's mainly what he's there for. So how do we go about doing that? The problem, once again, is that we have no plan. Kevin gets some random kick outs for open looks, but way too often we just give him the ball against a set defense and expect him to pump-fake-dribble-side-step his way into a 3pt look. That doesn't make any sense, Love in his current form is not an on-ball creator.

Love, along with Lauri, should be getting a steady stream of pick and pops in every game. Both of these guys are natural poppers, and I have a feeling they would feast.

Of course, but do you think they don't know this? I mean it was why Love was so great off the bench with Rubio. He got Love as many pop opportunities as he could handle.

So many of these criticisms just seem like complaining that the guys who are left can't do the things the guys who went down were experts at.

Whether it's Guarding Embiid or running the offense, we had those guys and they were great and helped us win. We don't now and teams are taking advantage of the team.

It like having that car in Trains planes and automobiles after it caught on fire and was completely gutted and complaining there is no heat.

Like some of these weaknesses are pretty hard to work on in season. Especially when you backup pg is different every day

I agree we’re not able to create enough movement to get the ball to wide open looks. But I don’t believe we have no plan for offense or that jbb and his staff don’t coach offense. I think we have to look at the players too. Pretty much every game I've seen situations where Love, and especially Markk, who moves more, is wide open but the pass is not going to him. I see a lack of awareness there.
