Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm apparently in the minority. I love him. First of all, he's a color commentator, not a play-by-play announcer. I love his nuggets about what's happening on the floor from a coach's point of view. He has some very good insights.
I read a story a couple of years ago that he has no interest in coaching anymore but would love to be a part of a NBA front office!

ehh. I dunno that Fratello would be any different than Bickerstaff, just less well liked by the players
There's a joke to be made here about the what Fratello's version of the JYD chain would be, but I'm not witty enough to come up with anything.

Junk Yard Dinosaur or Junk Yard Megoladon?

Alright so at the 4:00 min mark, Tim Legler goes over the designed set to Mobley if Don didn't have a clean enough look.

Good hearing his perspective, JBB did a little coaching here to convince Mitchell have trust in Mobley curling around for the open middy if Phoenix sells out. And BANG.

Mobley is very dangerous if he develops this. Please, coaches, pound this in his head. Stop having him dribble into cluttered space.

Gritty W missing some of our guys and our legs.

Hard to complain since he hit the game winner but Mobley had one of his worst games of his career. He needs to learn some offensive counter moves. A spin, or a pump fake, anything. I know he is only on year 2 so I will be patient but he has been a bit of a disappointment this year. On offense.

Brutal trip upcoming. Just need to keep stacking wins.

I'm OK with one or two dribbles if Mobley bends his knees and gets lower to reduce the amount of time the ball is out of his hand. He's too upright. His hand should be no more than three feet from the floor when he's dribbling.

Also, he loses the ball a lot when he tries the spin move when dribbling. He needs to work on that.

In general I can see him becoming a very effective 15-foot shooter, especially off the catch like last night. IOW, a 6'11" DeMar DeRozan. His inside game should be one hard dribble and a huge step to the rim.

Yeah I thought this was the worst game I’ve seen him play. Drives the ball and the slightest amount of contact and he moves like a leaf in the wind. And on defense he actively avoided contact leading to offensive rebounds. I don’t care about the stats or offense, what I do want to see a focus on is putting a body on somebody for rebounds.

He should also spend time with okoro to learn the eurostep. It’s basically a move where you don’t have to dribble and can go anywhere you want.

Junk Yard Slice of White Bread?

Just some of my observations from being at the game last night:

  • That was the biggest clank-fest I've ever seen.
  • The defense stayed solid, however on occasion rebounding was poor.
  • This is not the Love we saw last season. Not close. Showing lack of hustle. Getting Rubio back is his only hope.
  • Okoro is open all of the time on the 3-point line. And rightly so.
  • Somehow JBB has got to find a way to get Mobley more active offensively.

The final play is what I have been looking for all season that our offense is missing. Cutters.... To may times our players watch the ball stand in the corner "providing space" however when someone starts to drive we seldom see back door cuts, or cuts in general giving the driving player an outlet. Every time Mitchell, Caris, or Garland drive to the basket we see them suck in 2-3 defenders.... if someone would cut parallel or cut to the open space created we would get higher quality looks.

I was putting my daughter to bed and just checking the score, I glanced down and saw scores in the 70's/80's and thinking "Wow this game is taking a while, luckily I will be able to watch the whole fourth quarter!"

lol no there was 4 minutes left in the 4th, not the 3rd

I watched on a delay and accidentally saw the score 79 72 Suns ahead, and thought, "Oh they have time to come back in the 4th".

Then as they had like 50 something in the 3rd I was freaking out. "That could have been the last min of the game at this rate"

I think they scored 30 in the last frame. I don't know what I was worried about they retook the lead with 4 sec left after having it for one possession of the game

LOL

Past 2 have been very stressful
