Game Thread | Game #50 | Cavs @ Rockets | Jan. 26, 2023

So... Anthony Davis returns from injury.

Then injures his ankle again?

I have no words.
On a full court heave too.

But this was yesterday and he returned to the game.

The Bron haters on this forum seem to love whatever negatively affects Lebron.

Its funny.

Wade had a great game, 4-7 from 3, took the shot when he was open and hit over half of them,
It was good to see, but I would need truly been blown away if he had managed to hit exactly half of his threes.

Nic Claxton, that fantasy stat stuffer.

It was nice to see the Cavs handle business in this game.
Very nice to see Okoro put Jalen Green in the gulag and Evan Mobley pooping on this team (esp. in 1st half) to reinforce that because of the Rockets, the Cavs have prospered (with the JA trade and the Mobley draft)

It was nicer to see the effect of not having Love available but also having a proper fill-in like Dean Wade when Mobley had to sit. that alone was more impactful than not having Donovan Mitchell available. When you don't have to worry about your defense tanking like that on the bench, it's wonderful.

More arguments to Build That Bench.

The Rockets will be less ass with a more coherent roster and some vets. Sengun is Kevin Love level on defense (save his ability to block at the rim sometimes) but he absolutely could be their "Jokic". Tari Eason is good. I think Jabari could be as well. Ty Ty got some minutes as well. Right now they're rudderless, the kind of opponent the Cavs needed following the horseshit in New York. OKC will be a much tougher opponent IMO.
