Cavs have a record that is almost identical to that when a certain player plays 20+ minutes. I know a lot of you think that's just a flukish thing, but... just saying! The key move this year for the Knicks was trading for Josh Hart, who had 17 points and 10 rebounds last night, including 8-for-11 from the field. He hit a 3-pointer right after the Cavs took the lead with 2:12 to go and the Cavs never got the lead back. Without Hart the Cavs win easily.
Hart has been a hugely impactful addition. At the time of the trade they were 29-26. With Hart on board they went 17-6 in games he played before losing their last two meaningless games with Brunson resting and Randle out.
The Knicks traded Cam Reddish, Ryan Arcidiacono, Svi Mykhailiuk and a 2023 first round pick to Portland for Hart. Great move - he was exactly what they needed to propel them from a barely over .500 team to one that is now 18-6 when he and Brunson play.
The Cavs, OTOH, did nothing at the trade deadline, possibly because they were constrained by the cap. But after watching Okoro and Wade throw up bricks yesterday they really could have used a perimeter shooter. To be fair, Okoro shot 40% from deep in March and Levert 47%. But they were awful last night.
It is crazy to see how playoffs eventually expose your weaknesses. It sucks because the last time we were good we were making ECF every year and we were never exposed until the finals. It’s different being exposed for every one of your weaknesses in game 1.
Team needs to find some backbone or they are going to wilt fast.

Fatigue is a question. Mobley barely sat. Only 3 bigs got any minutes and Dean only played for 7 minutes because he was so trash.Watching the highlight of the last offensive rebound that sealed the game. If you get a chance, watch Mobleys “box out” attempt. Nice effort
“FEEL OUT GAME” No problems Cavs 4-1

It well could have been. Mobley got the jitters out? While Garland had a lackluster performance and I think Donovan was far from perfect, I think Mobley playing up to his potential changes this game around.“FEEL OUT GAME” No problems Cavs 4-1
LOL!!
Watch Garland more. Guards need to be rebounding and boxing out too.Watching the highlight of the last offensive rebound that sealed the game. If you get a chance, watch Mobleys “box out” attempt. Nice effort
Coaching cost us this game in three areas…Bruson started the second half with three fouls and finished the game with three fouls. We never attacked him to get his 4th and 5th fouls. JBB never made a game adjustment in finding a way to take the ball out of Bruson’s hands. And third: to allow DG to go the entire second half without scoring??? A good coach would have called a time out and drew up a specific play for him to get him going.Love it. You start by saying it’s the coaches fault and then list a bunch of reasons why we lost that are out of the coach’s hands. Brilliant.
THIS IS VERY TRUE! As dynamic as our guards are on offense they are way too inconsistent in boxing their man out from the outside. Garland does this a lot. As soon as a shot goes up he turns his head, never once finding his man first to put a body on him. I knew Hart was going to be a problem because he averages 7 rebounds a game as a guard.Watch Garland more. Guards need to be rebounding and boxing out too.
Yes!!!! Randle came all the way from outside and Mobley tries to box him with his armWatching the highlight of the last offensive rebound that sealed the game. If you get a chance, watch Mobleys “box out” attempt. Nice effort
lmfao....those were two basketball plays. The crossover with the arms going to the basket happens all day every day. The other one was him going for the ball. Get tougher.Garland is an undersized, slow, unathletic, easily rattled, weak-minded, sloppy, timid player. Everything needs to be going flawlessly for him to thrive. Prove me wrong buddy.
And what's with Randle with two cheap chots on Okoro and Garland with no ramifications? Dude needs choked out by Lopez or a blast to the groin.
