Gentlemen Stuff to Buy: Odd items, Weird Ads, and the Occasional Well-Done Purchase

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
You can't find anyone to fix it? That is odd. Do you have any clock repair specialists in your area?

What about Invicta customer service... Lol. Nevermind.

It is entirely possible that, like most Invicta owners, you are simply screwed.

My Story With Invicta:

Back before I knew much about watches, beyond that I really liked how chronographs looked, I was given an Invicta diving watch for Christmas from my Aunt.

It looked really cool: stainless steel case and bracelet, rotating numbered bezel for diving purposes. Nice black face with silver faced chronograph stuff.

But then... I wore the watch into the shower, which should not have been a big deal, it being waterproof to 300 meters. About 10 minutes later after my shower, I noticed that crystal was all fogged up from moisture, from the inside. It then stopped working a couple days later.

Invicta refused to honor the warranty because I showered with it and that it isn't completely waterproof and showering is beyond the scope of work for the diving watch...

And you will see on Amazon, many, many similar stories about the watches and the customer service. There business model is fraud.

I got a Casio G-Shock about 35 years ago -- needed the durability, and precise timing for artillery, etc.. Damn thing was build like a tank, and still worked last year. Then I dropped it in the lake while fishing, and that was it.

I'll bet that little fucker is still cranking away. Not exactly a Gentleman's watch, though....

I had a G-Shock in Iraq.

A warriors watch though.

And all gentlemen are warriors.

Catch anything that day?

Every time I shave I think about how there should be an invention to get rid of beard trimmings easily. Didn't know anything like that was out there.

Also, what kind of wireless headphones did you get? I really wanted to get some wireless ear buds for awhile now. Probably will ask for it for Christmas.

This is the beard thing lol

It's better than plunging the sink. I have some pipes that seem to just clog very easily.

I was not sure I wanted to drop the money because I thought I wouldn't like them, so I bought the 40 something dollar ones Ear Fun at the top of this list. I am surprised how good music sounds on them. I expected worse than good wired earbuds, but it sounds good. I think it is the bass. A lot fo buds just have terrible bass. I'm convinced. I am happy with the ones I have, but will prob go higher end in the future.

I just got the EarFun ones. Problem is I don't think my laptop has bluetooth. It's hard to believe, but I've looked into it and is way more complicated than it should be. I scanned for bluetooth even but nothing popped up.

They make little adapters to plus into the aux port on your car car (most people probably know about these). But also you can get little dongles (hehe) to just plug into headphones to make your headphone bluetooth. I bought one for snowboarding, though that was when bluetooth headphones were expensiver.
