Be that as it may, a 25 year old end-of-bencher who just got sent down to the G League because he couldn't hack it on an NBA roster isn't suddenly going to get meaningful minutes in the big league. He's trending in the wrong direction anyway. He may NEVER get those minutes again.
People need to understand that JBB obviously considers the guy totally unplayable.
Sure. I mean he was Beilein's pick. I think without him, the front office takes Keldon Johnson. Beilein is long gone, but his decision to run the team beyond exhaustion that broke Windler's leg caused him to lose 2 crucial years of development where he would have been allowed to make mistakes and get up to NBA speed.
I personally don't think he has played sufficent minutes for the game to have even slowed down for him. I'd guess Mobley has played more NBA minutes than WIndler. I checked it's like 20 more minutes for Mobley. Most of those for Windler have been garbage
So, I'd ask the question. When has he been given the chance?
