Well injury report from yesterday 4-7

Seems like Naylor should be back soon. In the next week is pretty likely...

Maile and Karinchak are on schedule if not a little ahead of schedule...

I didn't hear anything on Morris or Vargas, but I really don't expect either of them around before the second half at earliest anyways...

I still dont like how Naylor is running since it looks like he still has a limp...

So you watched him play? in the OF or on the bases? etc.

Him running to first base in the game today... (I am going between AA and AAA game on my laptop)

Also, did you see the throw in the 2nd Columbus game? Naylor caught a Pop-Up/Fly to short right (kind of far reach area of 2nd) and threw the ball 1/4 to 1/3 of the way up the 3rd base line ... if runner at 3rd went, he would have beaten the throw that far off.

Naylor was one of the worst defensive outfielders in the league before his injury, I doubt he's going to come back and magically be good at it. But I guess he could platoon with Mercado for the time being and then we could swap out Bradley for Palacios eventually, shifting Naylor over to 1B. The question is why not just give him extra ABs at AAA for the time being, and I don't think there's a good answer to that yet.

He has a certain amount of days he can be at AAA and after that he has to be called up. Plus honestly the ankle is going to have a lot harder time in the INF than the OF...

I don't understand why the ankle would have a harder time in 1B than in RF, however I'm talking about the guy with the ankle, and Naylor already had a hard enough time playing RF and if he's running around out there with a limp that wouldn't be very good.

It's actually because of the amount of bending and moving you do at first base compared to what you do in the OF. His ankle isn't going to be super flexible so more just straight running is way easier on it. OF you arent constantly bending and doing quick lateral movements. Those lateral movements are much harder on the ankle from an injury like his.

Well it seems like Naylor haas played some 1B and will be activated either today or at the start of the next series!

I haven't seen any updates on Karinchak or Maile, but they haven't been sent on a rehab yet either, so once that happens, this will be updated.
