The first half of the season ended in dissapointment. But there were some bright spots.

So far we are 3-5. I am very happy that we could have won the 4 out of 5 games that we lost. We had some "good" loses, and some "bad" wins. That tell me that with no talent, we can keep up with anyone in the league. Next year, with the Draft and some FA aquasitions, hopefully, we can get over the hump. But that is next season. We still have 8 GAMES LEFT!

It seems as in every game, our team keeps jelling and improving.

The "Brownie" in me thinks that we can go 4-4 for the rest of the season. But unfortunatelly, the easy games are already played. Things are going to get tougher from now on. I would be happy if we went 3-5 again to finish with a 6-10 season.

That would be a huge improvement from last season, and it would give us HOPE for next season...unlike before...BUT it would also mean that we will get a high draft pick. We might get the 10th or above pick. So we might not be able to draft that "player" that we wanted. But whatever. Less money to spend on the draft.

So people, how do you think the rest of the season will play out?

I'm saying .500 football, once we get Braylon in the offense more it will add a whole new dimension..he is a hell of a blocking WR though, we need to keep Droughns above 100 per game and Dilfer to Antonio Bryant to a lesser note...He can't throw it to that guy 75% of the time and expect no turnovers.

We need to get our recievers involved more.. All of them including the TE'S...

Northcutt should get some slant patterns ran for him... He is such a weapon, but only gets used on mainly special teams :thumbdown

i can only imagine the threat heiden(who screwed up a lot on sunday)/shea,winslow,droughns,braylon,bryant,cutt and dilfer or frye our offense will be.our offense is an underachiever this year but against a solid D in tennessee i was excited to see us move the ball and droughns play strong.i want braylon in more and he should be if we want to win.he needs to get the ball more than we realize.

i say at least 3 wins. our offense has been plain awful at times this year. if the offense can get things rolling than we will win games. the d has played well enough for us to be an above .500 team right now.

2 wins. These are the Browns we're talking about. We'lll have our ups, but definitely our downs. And Frye will be starting once Dilfer loses 3 in a row.

Cool, I like that scenerio. Actually, lets think about that because it has a huge possibility of playing out that way.

You said that Charlie will take over after Dilfer loses 3. And you also said that we are only going to win 2 games. Ok, so that means Charlie goes 2-3. WOW. Hold on!

With a 2-3 record, is that good enogh for him to start next year? Or do we need to try to draft a QB like Leinart? Or Vick? Or Young?

Thanks LyXo for bringing it up. I got me thinking. Seriously people, would we be happy with a 2-3 Charlie as a starter for next season?

Me? I don't know what to beleive. It would also depends on who he won and lost against.

Looking at our schedule:

@ Pittsburgh L, Dilfer
Vs Miami L, Dilfer
@ Minnesota L, Dilfer
Vs Jacksonville L, Frye
@ Cincinatti L, Frye
@ Oakland W, Frye
Vs Pittsburgh L, Frye
Vs Baltimore W, Frye

I think that Frye is nearly pinned as our starting QB. If he can eek out these wins, possibly another vs Jacksonville, and shows his flashes of brilliance, then I think he will thrive. Losses to Pittsburgh and Cincinatti won't be that frustrating.

Would we have a pick to choose a marquee QB? If we do, we still choose the best player possible. Want him or not, we can always trade down to draft up what we need.
