Happy Towel Day

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Covid has the dolphins leaving in enormous pods.

The fact that this thread only got 3 likes in 6 hours makes me want to mock you all for being uncultured swine.

In the ridiculously stupid and addictive and eventually expensive Game of Thrones mobile game I somehow got sucked into, my name is The Guide. My girlfriend who also plays let me name her so she is Babelfish.

When the Keep vs Keep attack weekend are happening, lots of people send small 69 troops marches as a joke to say that they 69’d you. But we send 42 troop marches. Most people don’t respond or respond with a WTF? but every once in a while someone gets it and then we bond with them and recruit them to our allegiance.

Do not, I repeat, do not play Game of Thrones Conquest, lest you’ll find yourself telling stories like this and wasting lots of time and eventually money.

I do have the entire BBC Audio Production of the entire HHGTG run they did back in the 80s and I would gladly share a download link with anyone who wants it.

The movie left me very unsatisfied and I hope that one day HBO or one of the high end networks do it justice with multiple seasons.

I know this is probably sacrilege to you all, but I always though it was wildly overrated.

The Books/radio series or the movie?
The movie disappointed me to no end.
Big fan of the original books/production

I really enjoyed the book, but I was 15 years old and had a lot of time on my hands. Later in life I learned that he had started the novel before Star Wars but then it was published right afterwards. I find the symbiotic relationship between the two Titans of sci-fi interesting.

@The Human Q-Tip is disappointed by everything good.

I’d compare him to the Lorax but he is also disappointed by nature.

When you say Happy Towel, do you mean the towel you use after a "Happy Ending"?

Because if that is what this thread is about, that is a day to celebrate.....so "Happy Towel" day

No, Towel Day is used to celebrate the life and works of Douglas Adams.

Some old dead British white guy who wrote Hitchhiker's guide?

I rather celebrate a happy ending 42 times out of 42.

Did anyone read the other books? It goes really off the rails at the end and is so depressing. Ah nevertheless.
