Hard Knocks

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I really wish we didn’t burn our mandatory year last year.

We can do Hard Knocks again. It all depends on if the Browns ownership/management would approve it. In all honesty with the buzz going on right now, if I were ownership and HBO came calling, me and Dorsey would have a serious discussion about allowing it. It was good for the fanbase, and it at least seemed like the players enjoyed it. I myself heard no negatives out of Berea about Hard Knocks. Fuck it why not???

99 times out of 100, I say to avoid Hard Knocks whenever possible. It’s an unnecessary distraction.

However, I truly believe that last season’s series played a large part (along with Mayfield and Juice) in making the Browns cool.

We went from being a laughing stock to the “it” team for the young NFL fan.

That matters. Players want to play in Cleveland now overnight. Players actively watched Hard Knocks and tweeted about the Browns. It was out there non stop.

For that reason, I’d be completely open to it again. It would monopolize us as the league’s darling. Playing in prime time by popular demand matters. NFL players and free agents love the idea of prime time games.

I can’t believe I’m even saying it. I usually don’t give a damn about any of that shit. I just think the series played a positive role in the building of our brand.

Fans 100 percent want it

Teams 1000 percent don’t.

Yes normally. But we are unique. We have Baker and now OBJ. (And hell, even Dorsey) Haslam loves the attention and this offseason its been good attention. From Haslams point of view: Can you imagine us going from the dumpster fire of the Hue Jackson era to Superbowl contender in one season……….

Haslam and the organization didn’t want to do it last year.

Them being good and turning over a big part of the roster makes not having cameras up their ass a welcome addition.

Teams hate this series, pretty universally.

Should be all business this year, no screwing around with a TV show.

Yeah, i'm cool with not doing Hard Knocks. Make the Patriots do it so someone else can finally get a competitive advantage on them.

Brian Hoyer's Amazon and ESPN+ subscriptions helped the Patriots win Super Bowl 53

"Before the Super Bowl, he watched an episode of Peyton Manning’s Detail series on ESPN-Plus on Goff, and it hit him right away—the offense is the same. Looking at the Rams tape confirmed it. … Then, Hoyer went back to Amazon’s All or Nothing series on the Rams; it was about the 2016 season but had footage of OTAs from McVay’s first spring there. Hoyer recognized the language."
