Harden to the Nets, Cavs part of the package

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Shameless plug here but I actually published a podcast episode on this trade in the podcast I launched with some friends last month called Brown Men Won't Jump. The episode also has a good deal of talk about how the Cavs made out in the trade, as well as discussion about the Sexland backcourt and Isaac Okoro. The podcast has a rotating cast of hosts who are fans of various teams (Sixers, Spurs, Celtics, Raptors, Knicks). It's usually pretty lighthearted though we do have some serious basketball discussion as well. I'd love any feedback anyone who listens would be willing to give (feel free to DM me).

Here's a link to where you can listen to the podcast on whatever platform you prefer (Apple, Google, Spotify, Amazon, Overcast, etc): https://brownmenwontjump.captivate.fm/listen

Or you can listen to the feed directly on our website at brownmenwontjump.com. We plan to have regular blog entries about the NBA up soon too. And if anyone is interested in talking basketball on a future podcast episode or writing a blog post about the NBA (on whatever topic), please DM me and we can see how we can make that work.

I'll come spill some inside tea next time there's Knicks drama if you want.

Two more players have been included in the recent NBA blockbuster trade that saw James Harden take his talents to the Brooklyn Nets. According to Keith Smith of Yahoo Sports, the Cleveland Cavaliers have now renounced the rights of Channing Frye and Ante Zizic as part of the deal.

Not that it matters but why?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why were the Pacers so intent on trading Oladipo, and why didn’t they pull Oladipo back, when Lavert didn’t pass the physical? Did the Pacers really want off Oladipo’s contract?

They traded one cancer for another it seems.

alright, in bad taste. But seriously, Dipo was a delusional locker room problem it seems.

Wut? I thought Dipo was always a solid citizen. An unlikely superstar.

“Michael reported that Oladipo spoke with players from the Miami Heat, New York Knicks, and Toronto Raptors during the season, openly asking ‘Can I come play with y'all?’ And to make the already delicate situation even more fractured, Oladipo did his self-tampering "in front of Indiana Pacers teammates."

At what point did he start hating Indiana? I thought he was happy to go there.

Not sure. I was a Dipo fan for a long time. It was great for a star player to relish playing for a small market. Sounds like he’s surrounded by yes-men who have him convinced he’s a better player than he actually is and that he is a potential superstar singer. I’m not kidding. He lost his marbles along the way

The fact he hung out in the off-season with Kyrie might have a lot to do with it!

He was playing basketball at a top level before the injury, sadly since he’s made his comeback seems he has become a shell of his old self, maybe he feels a bit disrespected by the Organisation for not handing him the keys when he came back and is having trouble accepting his new role within the team.

Switching his locker was the final straw.
