With all these talks of JO.. wouldn't Haslem be a more reasonable option? I mean im not saying the Heat are going to blow up there team but I would think if they get a chance to move someone from that big screw up of a season, they would jump at it.. plus it looks like they're going to end up with Beasley and I really don't know if Haslem would be content with coming off the bench. I thought Andy for Haslem straight up would work but it didn't. Joe Smith does but I don't know why they would want him anyway. Hes averaging like 12-10... not amazing numbers but its better than Ben Wallaces. If the Redd trade did go down we could have something like this maybe:

Delonte / Daniel
Redd / MLE or Draft
LeBron / Draft or MLE
Haslem / Smith
Z / Ben

I think Udonis would be good on this team actually. Seems to be a good team guy and you can never have enough rebounding.

He's not really the same player as O'Neal though so I don't really look at him as a substitute for him, just a cheaper option.

Contingent on a huge upgrade at SG, he would be a serviceable option at PF..

O'neal is a bum. the guy can't saty healthy and won't ever be healthy again. He has not played 60 games in like 5 years, screw that guy. Only way I'll even consider a trade for that bum, is if they give there 11th pick and let us keep are 19th.

then I would trade both of those and try to get a top 5 pick and get mayo.

I don't know if I could trust Haslem, seems way too inconsistent. He would be an upgrade over Wallace.

Oh no way. Haslem is as consistent as they come. Hes shooting 50% for his entire career which is pretty impressive.

Last year, Drew Gooden was a better play than Haslem...

And by consistent, I mean scoring. I see Haslem as a flip of Drew Gooden, worse on offense, more accomplished on defense. Haslem has averaged 10+ PPG the past few years, but it's the same thing with him as Gooden - one game 16, the next game 4, then a few good games, then some bad games.

Haslem is a good player in all but it doesn't make sense with the way our roster is currently configured... If one of our PF's get traded and he's a realistic target, then heck yeah... I've always thought he's a perfect fit next to Z and my mind hasn't changed...

Good news for you...Andy for Haslem straight up WOULD work. If you're trying to do the trade on ESPN's trade maching or RealGM's trade checker, the reason they're rejecting it is bc AV is a BYC player this season after signing his new contract. But after July 1st, the Cavs can trade him with his consent. Don't see how he'd object going to Miami, so if the Heaters take him for Haslem, that would be gold.

Haslem is a tough-as-nails defender who doesn't have to flop. I'd love to have him on this team. Would absolutely love it.

Wrong. O'Neal played 69 games last year.

Oh boy, 69 games.

Seriously though, in the last 4 seasons he's missed...

38
31
13
40

In 4 years, he's missed 142 games...

Last year, he only averaged 13.6 PPG and 6.7 RPG while playing in only 25 MPG. Too big of a risk.

Hey man, the guy said O'Neal hasn't played 60 games in the last five seasons. When you're wrong, you're wrong.
