HBO's Watchmen - Discussion Thread w/ Spoilers thru Current Episode

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Also, interesting observation that Adrian's latest birthday cake only had 7 candles on it. Meaning that that scene in which we see him is presumably still 3 years behind the present day events in Tulsa. A good guess would be that it is his "space craft" that lands in that field that Lady Trieu purchases from that couple in exchange for a clone child.

This show manages to answer so many questions while turning up a ton of others.

Can’t wait for the finale.

That last episode is straight up one of the best episodes of TV I’ve ever seen, I’m completely blown away by it. I did see an interesting potential theory on reddit...

Dr. Manhattan gave his powers to her grandfather. Hence how he escaped the handcuff, how he drank scalding hot coffee, and how he picked up the egg from boiling water.

Now watch the leftovers.

Great episode, leftovers is just as good. Many better episodes.

I finally caught up, when does the next episode come out. And that's the last of the season, right?

Last of the series as far as we know. Lindelof said it was a self-contained story.

SPOILER WARNING FOR LAST EPISODE

So is it safe to assume that Judd really was a good guy and Angela got him killed. Could the tragedy that Dr. Manhattan/Cal/Jon alluded to actually be Angela learning that she was the cause of death for her mentor and greatest friend who wasn’t the bad man she thought he was rather then watching Jon parish? Or is it both. I can’t see how they are going to rap this thing up in 1 episode. I do expect Looking Glass to make a heroic appearance during the finale.

All the signs seems to be pointing to Angela gaining some of Dr. Manhattan’s power now that we’ve learned that it could be transferred, so you can expect that NOT to happen, lol.

The issue with that is that if Judd was good, what's going on with this wife? Why did they have a trap door for prisoners and why did they make Agent Blake go to the 7th K headquarters? I think Angela did set the process off, but that Judd was actually bad.

Judd was 100% involved with the Kavalry. The more likely scenario is that he befriended Angela in order to keep tabs on Cal after the White Night.

Completely unfamiliar with any previous Watchmen content, but this series has been absolutely captivating to me... once the season ends, any suggestions on where I start catching up on the previous storylines?

Ya just to be clear, Angela tipped it all off but Judd had the robe, she didn't plant it there

Literally the only thing you need to do is read the original graphic novel. That's it. That's the only thing the show considers canon.

ya but it says Season Finale not Series Finale in the promo for Ep 9

Very good show. Lots to tie together in 1 hour
