Unless he's going to be sitting at a table or desk, iPad or something similar is better than a laptop because you can use it sitting on a couch watching TV. Laptops are too heavy and inconvenient for that (unless it's one that converts to a tablet)

the new 10.2 inch iPads are $100 off today ($229 for 32GB at target, $329 for 128 GB at Best Buy).

Can add this keyboard (also on sale) to sit at table and type

He’s in a wheelchair so he uses it when he’s in bed (which is a decent amount). Not sure a tablet+keyboard would work for him. Thanks for the info though.

still sounds like a tablet would be better than a laptop

Here's another option

regular laptop when you want it, tablet when you want it. A bit heavier and more expensive than an iPad or other tablet, though.

Edit to add: In either case, I think a tablet works better than a laptop in bed. Only need the keyboard if you're doing a lot of typing, but even the soft keyboard on a tablet is easier to type on than what we all use on our phone.

Would A wireless mouse work with it?

with which? iPad doesn't use a mouse.

The surface book has a trackpad and should work with a mouse. It's just a windows PC that converts into a windows tablet.

I bought a off brand tv from Target a year or two ago. Like a too good for the specs deal. The tv ended up not being in sync with the audio. When we took it back the target employee who helped us with the return said they had gotten alot of them back. I end up buying a Samsung and paid a little more, which I'm happy with.

is audio being out of sync a tv issue? Sounds like an internet or cable issue. I’ve had that a few times when watching YouTube on my Samsung tv.

That's late 2017 model, Best Buy has the same version of the late 2018 model here. I'm not sure what they changed nature wise, but newer one apparently is lighter.

Here's a comparison of the two

It was a tv issue....I ended up hooking up an antenna, PS4, Roku, and pretty much every device I had to see if it fixed the problem. Nothing fixed it.

It wasn't a TCL tv though. It was a Polaroid with a Chromecast built in. Just be careful with some of these real good deals because it might be the manufacture trying to dump inventory of a poorly performing tv. Make sure you know the return policy and if you will only get store credit for open box returns.

Not a knock on this tv or sharp but man I hate how alot manufacture have moved to the two stands closer to the edge of the tv instead of the single one in the middle. If your not mounting the tv, you have to now find a larger table or cabinet to put it on.
I agree, you should be able to fix the problem with something like this, though.

Or mount it on the wall with something like this.

Yeah. When I bought my tv I thought my stand would be good. Got home to realize that I had to go back later that day to buy something to sit it on.

Anyone know of good pillows to buy? I just spent the weekend in Vegas and just loved sleeping with those giant pillows...I just don't know what brand they use. I don't want to break the bank, but damn those were good pillows.
