Do Not Sell My Personal Information
That's about 200 feet away, so that isn't realistically going to happen :(

So you really think rot will be a potential problem even if there's a 1' perimeter of gravel, a 4" gravel base, and the shed is set off the gravel with 4x4 runners?

It would be fairly easy to run a gutter out behind the fence, or even build some sort of overhang from the shed roof to over the fence.

This is kind of what I was going for -

The entire yard slopes away from this area too, it is definitely not a "wet" location.

Maybe I will increase the perimeter from the below-grade location to two feet instead of one...pulling it forward would also effectively make it less below grade.

More digging...

Thanks for the feedback!
ao this looks amazing. youre going to hate me because i know you want it level but just build up. if you went up by a couple of inches with stone you are in good shape (assuming your soil isnt complete and total clay) . but the craftmans ship is great

you can always make a ramp to make it eaiser for bringing items in abd out. think pavers/bricks or something like that.

I'm not concerned with a bit of a ramp, but if I built up without any digging before the gravel, the shed door would literally be like 18" off the ground. :(

I think I will move the shed forward a foot or two. Or three. It's really only that back corner that was bad. This will get it close to grade

Honestly idk why I didn't think of this before, I guess because I was trying to maximize yard space, but I don't really care about this area.

No clue where else to appropriately ask this.

I live in a development. 8 ft brick fences. My direct behind neighbor’s kids have started to throw actual darts into our yard, to the point that they’re just lawn darting into our turf.

We have a 7 year old, and a dog.

First time, the dad was not apologetic when I returned them, and advised how unsafe it was. He was mad, if anything, that I’d have an issue.

The second time the kids came over to retrieve their darts. Unsupervised.

What is even the appropriate response? Like the police feel like an unnecessary escalation, but it’s becoming a hazard to be outside at the same time.

I'd keep the darts, let's start there. How old are the neighbor kids? You definitely don't want to escalate the issue, but there are some options depending on the age of the kids.

Take some naked pics of the kids mom. For every dart that comes over, return the dart with the attached naked pic of their mom. That should stop it or entertain you further. Either way a desirable result will happen.

They’re like middle school. Old enough to know better, but also too young to have unlimited access to darts entirely unsupervised.

Keeping them probably won't solve the problem because parents like that will most likely just buy them more when they run out.

Maybe they "landed" in some dog poop next time you find them but you didn't have time to wash them off before returning them.

Or you can return them scattered in the driveway so the dad thinking the kids are being irresponsible with them and takes them away before he runs over them.

Or have them puncture a ball, some lawn chair, or something random then take it over and ask them to replace them.

Are these dart board darts or lawn darts?

Dart board darts.

If the board was hung in the wall, it wouldn’t come over the fence and land stuck like a lawn dart if it was just a bad miss.

And a fun update- come home to three more, one of which was about fifty feet passed the wall.

I own three darts.

You're documenting these events? I'd like to hear a legal opinion.

Tell me where I'm wrong

I pay 1800 a month to rent and that is going to raise 6% every single year.

Mortgage on a 450k place, let's call it 2500.

I'm down 700 a month (and shrinking) for a handful of years until like 7 years from now when my mortgage would be less than my rent at that point, and I'd have equity should I buy.

I'm losing a lot of money not buying right?

Are you also factoring property taxes, insurance, and maintenance on owning a place vs renting?
