SF: LeBron James
PF: Drew Gooden

Keys to the game:

-The boards. Cavs have been beat on the glass the last two games against Chicago and Miami. New Orleans is a good rebounding club, especially with Tyson Chandler and David West up front. Chandler is one of the best boarders in the game, and rebounding is his bread and butter. Cleveland will need good efforts from all their big men in winning the battle on the boards.

-Keep the Hornets on the perimeter. New Orleans can go inside with West and Chandler, and the latter isn't a good offensive threat. If the Cavs make the Hornets shoot jumpers instead of pounding it inside, they'll be forcing a team ranked 17th in 3-point percentage to beat them from the outside.

-No easy buckets. Foul and foul hard if you need to. The Hornets are in the same boat as the Cavs in the sense that they are horrible from the line. Make them shoot free throws if you have to.

Prediction: Cavs bear down on defense, outmuscle the Hornets in the end, 87-78.

1. Attack the hoop, don't settle for J's.
2. Win the rebound battle.
3. Fight for every inch.

We need this one badly after the eggs we laid against Chicago and Miami. The schedule gets no easier the next four games after this one (@Dal, Tor, Hou, @Det). Gotta win this one at home.

Force this team to shoot. They are not really dangerous at the perimeter. Mixing it up with some zones may be effective. Outside of Paul, West is the man to watch. He is strong down low and has some range. Hopefully Drew is ready for his fortnightly big game.

cavattitude how are we supposed to talk Cavs when Vida is looking so fine?

Anyone know if Sasha is coming back? We really need him off the bench, big time.

Dating back to the start of 2004-2005 season, this was the 1st game(real game) Hughes played in for the Cavaliers. Hopefully he has a good game tonight, and the Cavaliers can run over the Hornets.

Are you talking about her or those two stuffed Christmas hams on her backside?

I think it's a very nice combination of both. :chuckles:

Sasha "The X Factor" Pavlovic an instant hit in his return for the Pavaliers.

for some reason the game isn't on here.. some generic fsn crap for some reason!

Freaking Hughes........instead of powering to the hole and dunking it he misses a finger roll, then looks at the ref for a foul. Hey Larry, go hard or go home.......ya pansy ass.

Coach Brown has his rotation back up and running and the results are following. Ilgauskas and LeBron looking good with their inside outside game.

Shooting 70% from the FT line thus far. Thats impressive for us.

Larry is shooting as per normal tonight, however he is at least getting his other facets to his game rolling. Better overall performance tonight.

For the first time in a long time, Lebron looked like the lebron of last year tonight...the way he hit those two 3s to clinch the game was the kind of stuff he always did last year...good to see.

Good effort to repell the challenge from the Hornets. Alot of that pressure was self inflicted, but the Hornets are a fair team. LeBron played one of his better games of the season and we had a little bit of help from everyone. Any win is a good win right now.
