Good fit for Bron. More than just athletic. Plays with heart.

Contract is 2.5 then blank, then 0's from HH: http://hoopshype.com/salaries/washington.htm

I don't understand how that contract works (RFA or FA), but if we could get his rights...

help me out smarts.

We should have been more aggressive going after him in the offseason. Supposedly we were interested, but...

I don't see Washington trading him to us now. He's young. He's pretty talented. He definitely has potential. Exactly the type of player they should be stock piling.

We're pretty much f'd until Snow Newble Jones Marshall Brown and etc expire so we can go get some "players". Not just people that show up and eat the free food.

Don't see the Wizards trading him. He's a young big guy with lots of raw talent and who has a reasonable salary.

I've posted many times about being on the Blatche bandwagon last summer. I thought it would have been worth a shot to throw an offer sheet at him. If the contract was constructed in a way that would have forced the Wizards to pay the luxury tax they might not have matched. The Cavs wouldn't have had to overpay or screw up their payroll or cap flexibility either. There was no guarantee the Cavs would have gotten him but it was definitely worth a shot.

Blatche has put up good numbers when given minutes this season. He's still inconsistent but is only 21. I think his game would have been a nice long term fit with LeBron.

I think we are F'd in this regard and the time to have traded for him has passed. He has upped his trade value, gotten more minutes, doubled his scoring average, upped his FG %. If he were getting the type of minutes that Drew is, he would be averaging.. somewhere around 12/8 a night which is on par with what Gooden gives us yet he is on the upswing of his career and Drew has faltered. I don't think the Wizards would even make that trade straight up if they could. We will not get him.
