How do you cook it?

In any event stir fry is not the best choice.

Any sort of soup or stews, or pot roast, steamed meat, is good for quick turnarounds, dump it and go type stuff.

Pot roast usually takes several hours or more. Throw a chuck roast into that insta-pot for 50 minutes plus cool down. Throw in a tomatoe, onions, carrots and celery along with a cup of water and a can of beef consume. You’ll be sitting pretty with plenty of time to spare.
Stir fry was done in like 8 minutes, opening the bag to completiin

I eat 5000 calories a day, I'm not here to spend any more time in the kitchen than I need to

A rotisserie is pretty set it and forget it. Not leave your apartment or house set it and forget it but you go do other stuff around the house for an hour or two without thinking about it.

Making a whole chicken is super easy and takes no seasoning. Just get it balanced on the splint and use alittle butchers twine to make sure wings and legs dont flop all around. An hour or an hour and a half depending on size and you got tasty chicken for a couple days.

You can slow roast pork shoulder for pulled pork with no seasoning and just put sauce on it after. Super easy but take alot longer than chicken. It yields alot of meat for cheap though.

Beef seems harder to do in the rotisserie. Big fatty cuts of beef aren't usually cheap. Making a pot roast seems easier. I like the taste of Beef from the rotisserie but the prep work and you have to keep an eye on it more. I usually make it for French dips or Chicago style Italian beef sandwiches. I have a meat slicer too so that makes the process easier for making meat for sandwiches.

Having. It worked for a few months and basically just being a stay at home dad, trying something new in lieu of a go-to would be one of the biggest rushes I could experience at this point in my life.
 
Had a late craving for Albondigas soup.

Would you believe that most proper Mexican places don't have it here? Insanity.

So I made some myself. It was muy muy Bueno.

It was so authentic that Stephen Miller wanted it deported.

You can certainly use the insta pot for high quality protein that’s convenient and cheap.

Start with finding absurd sales on meat. Best way is when you find one, you go big and freeze what you can’t cook.

Then do a rub. For you, just buy a blend in the rub section. I would get a bbq sauce and salsa too. Make sure you overspice bc the surface area to volume ratio is low. That is to say that you really want to coat the outside of a round chunk of meat in quite a bit of spices. I would plop it in there w an onion, carrots, and potatoes, but you might not have room.

The next part is key: get an adapter to be able to plug it in to your car’s cigarette lighter. This way you eliminate the fire hazard, never go hungry while working, and can run what’s essentially a food truck while carting people around. Could also offer hits from a vape pen.

I don’t know about you guys, but if I were a pot smoker and got a ride to the airport and left the car stoned and full of pork shoulder, I’d tell all of my friends.
 
German pancakes (AKA Dutch Baby).

They are far superior to conventional pancakes.

Easy to make:

1 CUP of flour
1 CUP of milk
6 eggs
.33 TSP baking powder
2 TBSP sugar
.5 TSP of vanilla

Mix all in a bowl. Pour into a greased baking pan.

Bake at 385 for 30-40 minutes until golden brown. Pull out of oven and sprinkle powdered sugar.

Serve with proper maple syrup, berries.

I was looking for a low carb pizza option when I decided to give this a shot.

I took a piece of Joseph’s Lavash Bread and smothered one side of it with olive oil. Added ranch dressing to the other aide as the sauce and topped it with mozzarella, bacon and buffalo chicken which was just chicken that I had made tossed in a bowl with some hot sauce. Tossed is in the oven at 400 for ten minutes. It makes for a very crispy crust. Low carb and pretty damn solid.

The woman made hers with tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and spinach.

Both were delicious. Quick/cheap dinner and extremely easy to make.
 
Last weekend I smoked some chicken with apple wood chips and charcoal, and while I was at it I chopped up cubes of butternut squash, yams, and slivers of red onion, tossed them in a little canola oil, and smoked them for 45 minutes. I then chopped up some parsley because it looked brown and depressing without some green and dropped a drizzle of balsamic dressing on it.

But I gotta say, it's my new jam. Its healthy, low carb, keto, and tastes like 1,000 calorie barbecue.

It's going to be 45 and sunny today, 50 and sunny on Sunday. This means Weber Kettle weekend.

Haven't figured out what I am doing today(Saturday), but Sunday will be a reverse seared steak and twice baked potato.

Dry aged ribeye, will let it sit for about an hour while seasoned(salt, pepper, onion and garlic) to get it to room temp before cooking. Kettle will be 225 and about 5 minutes before I put the steak on I'll add a pecan wood chunk. Once I put the steak on(indirect heating) I'll warm up a twice baked potato in the oven.

When the internal temp hits about 80 degrees on the steak, I'll fire up another chimney of coals. When the internal temp of the steak is at 110, I'll remove it, dump the full chimney of coals into the kettle to get it nice and hot, add just a little bit of olive oil on each side, then sear the steak directly over the coals, about one minute each side. Steak should then be around 125 internal temp, pull it, wait 10 minutes, should be around 135, perfect medium rare.

Pepper burns easily. Best to add it after the sear.

Salt chemically impacts most foods. You can debate whether to add it early or late. I add it early in most things, at the end for things where texture is absolutely key like scrambled eggs.
