How good is Jose Ramirez? How many fans understand what they are watching during Tribe games?

Cooperstown good.

He obviously has to continue his level of play for another half decade or so, but right now he is well on his way.

Thru age 28 he has accrued 34.4 fWAR.

These are the HOF Cleveland position players who had accrued that amount thru age 28 (counting two that IMO should be)...

Tris Speaker
Nap Lajoie
Lou Boudreau
Elmer Flick

These are the ones that did not...

Earl Averill
Al Rosen
Shoeless Joe Jackson
Kenny Lofton
Joe Sewell
Larry Doby
Jim Thome

Watching a baseball game is not only about rooting for your favorite team. Its also about watching the greatest players in the game perform feats that even the best of us can't even imagine doing.

Like seeing Pavarotti perform at the Met, or visiting the Louvre.

I wonder how many of us realized that for three years we got to watch the greatest defensive keystone combination in the history of a sport thats been played since the Civil War, when Robbie joined Omar?

Or that we got to watch perhaps the greatest five year run of pitching in Indians history when Kluber was here?

We Tribe fans may not have watched any World Series celebrations, but we have seen some performances for the ages...and we are watching one now.

yes, I knew that then.
The hamster is better than any two position players on our team

It will tear my heart out when Jose is dealt away. Just love the way he plays the game of baseball. In negotiating an extension, let him know a statue awaits him in Heritage Park for just 6 more years of donning a Cleveland uni.

Kenny Lofton isn’t in the hall of fame, but he should be.
The fucking tragedy is how MLB does the hall of fame and that he only got one vote. He is damn close to HoF worthy and voters didn't even give him enough votes his first year to stay on the ballot

Ramirez is amazing. He was really good in fantasy as well. Had one of the highest points accumulated of all position players.

Five more years of 30 home runs and 95 RBI's would give him 300 HR's and 1,000 RBI. That might get him in. You have to factor in the pitchers dominating the hitters right now to fully appreciate what he's doing.

His first three years with the Indians he hit .239 with 8 HR's and 44 RBI's in 564 AB's. He looked like a utility infielder. His breakout season came at age 23.
