How to watch the Guardians on TV

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The average local ratings for Guardians games that I can find is 3.66-3.78 in July of last year and those were increases for previous months.

Year end average broadcast rating was 4.13.

Wouldn't that put it at about 62000 people watching? Regardless of what it is, if it wasn't viable for Bally's with the Guardians, it's probably not long until it isn't viable for the Cavs either.

The couple dollars a month that every basic cable subscriber was paying for RSNs is what was keeping them profitable. It made viewership not that relevant. Cut all those households that aren't paying for basic cable or switch/kept cable services that drop the RSNs and they don't have the money to exist.

In just the Cleveland-Akron-Canton market, yes.

But that isn’t the only market that gets Cleveland baseball games broadcasted through Bally’s.

On the low end the average TV viewership for a Cleveland baseball game is 110,000 to 115,000 households.

It never was either.

Bloated TV rights purchases when cord cutting was at an all time high causing ad revenue to dip significantly on RSNs was a predictably bad decision to make by Sinclair/Diamond.

But the conglomerate era will hopefully be significantly more fan and team revenue friendly.

Are you adding in the opposing teams audience too?

Question - if someone signs up for MLB.tv through TMobile, are you allowed to password share?

I have family in Ohio, they sign up and provide me with login info in AZ. Can I still get G’s games?
I don't want to say a definitive yes, but it works for any other subscription service I use, so I don't see why it wouldn't.

thats pretty good not gonna lie.

hopefully all the "momentum" of the last year wont go to waste with the RSN going down

Guardians have always had a solid TV following at the end of the day. They just aren't a big market so they aren't ever going to be huge money getters...

So do we sign up for MLB.tv for games? Bally keeps saying the games are on on the app.

If Bally does not carry the games, then you should be able to watch for free on MLB.tv without a subscription (may still need an MLB login) even if you live in the blackout area.

Also, I believe today is the first day to get MLB.tv for free through T-Mobile if you are a customer (or know someone that doesn't like baseball).

Seems as if Bally Sports will broadcast games to start for us... we'll see where this goes.

Apparently you can get a free season of MLB.tv if you have T-Mobile anything.
