How to watch the Guardians on TV

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
$23 a month seems high for in-market, non-Spectrum users

It also depends on the numbers of stations and whatnot as well that's all included. If it's all their stations then I guess I can merit it, if it's just the local one then it's a rip off

This might be a good time to post this link:

The Bally Sports App is flat out awful. It is nearly unusable. They had better fix it before trying to roll out more services.
Not sure what to make of this review, which sounds like the rants of a privileged millennial. That said, I downloaded the Bally Sports app this winter and have been watching Cavs and Blue Jackets games thanks to my Spectrum internet only service. Yes, there are frequent buffering issues but otherwise the app serves its intended function and I watch the games free besides my spectrum internet subscription.

Can I ask what device you are watching on? That seems to make a big difference. I've tried it on both a firestick and a fire tv cube and both were as I stated above, unwatchable.

I use a Roku+ device, which I use to access YoutubeTV, Hulu, ESPN+, and Bally Sports.

The Bally app is definitely garbage. In my experience, the device you're watching from matters a great deal. From the Roku stick it seems to work fairly well. From the Xbox it's awful (stream crashes multiple times each game).

MLB, Apple Agree To Streaming Deal

By Steve Adams | March 8, 2022 at 1:38pm CDT

Major League Baseball and Apple announced Tuesday that they have agreed to a streaming deal that will see two Friday night games streamed exclusively on Apple TV+ each week, beginning with the 2022 season. “Friday Night Baseball” will feature live pregame and postgame shows and will be available in the U.S., Canada, Australia, Brazil, Japan, Mexico, Puerto Rico, South Korea and the United Kingdom. Apple TV+ will also offer a program called “MLB Big Inning” to U.S. viewers, which the press release describes as a “live show featuring highlights and look-ins airing every weeknight during the regular season.”
The new service will allow fans to watch “marquee” games each Friday which will be “free from local broadcast restrictions.” Fans who are frustrated by the blackout issues that have served as a persistent source of consternation for MLB.tv users will surely welcome an alternative — particularly those who are already subscribe to Apple TV+.
However, the Friday Night Baseball deal now removes two games per week from that same MLB.tv package, given that today’s press release from Apple emphasizes the exclusivity of those Friday night broadcasts. That’s sure to raise the ire of MLB.tv users who do not have an active Apple TV+ subscription, as they’ll now be required to sign up for an additional monthly service if they wish to catch those Friday night contests. Today’s press release indicates that “for a limited time,” Friday Night Baseball will be accessible without a subscription but offers no further detail.

Well, there are 15 games every Friday night and two of them will be on Apple. So as a Directv guy there's a 2 in 15 chance I won't get to see the G's on any given Friday night.

The silver lining is that since Cleveland is a small market they probably won't be selected very often. Also, since they're probably be an average to above average but not great team this year they won't have much interest outside of northern Ohio. Outside of Bieber and Ramirez they have no stars. I can't see them being much of an attraction.

I expect a heavy dose of Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers, Astros, White Sox, Giants, and Cubs on those Friday night games.

MLB TV is currently offering $10 off a full season of out-of-market games, bringing the price to $130 for all teams (except your local one) and $110 for a single team. But before you jump on that deal, keep two things in mind:
  • T-Mobile has offered MLB TV for free to its wireless subscribers in previous years, and has subtly hinted that it will do so again soon.
  • If you're not on T-Mobile and can hold out until Father's Day, there's usually a 50% off sale for the remainder of the season.

I am a baseball watcher! I gotta have it on so I already got MLB.tv...

The single team one is useless since it still has local blackouts, so why not pay 20 bucks more for every game... lol

It's a great deal, but then you get blacked out because of archaic, bullshit deals that existed before streaming.
