Why is called spaghetti model?

And prepare for it, this storm is no fucking joke for sure.

because when they put all of the projections on one plot, they look like a bunch of spaghetti. I guess they should just be called projections.

Go online and find a last minute hotel south of you. Plenty of people prob cancelled or didn’t book trips in Miami area. Nice little budget 3 day vacay.

And eat some spaghetti.

Fuck you

There’s prob a massive storm surge.

Do love me some spaghetti. In fact took the kids to Olive Garden today for the first time.

It was awful.

I like Olive Garden for what it is, but it is Budget Italian.

We picked the Jacksonville area because it has a history of not being hit by hurricanes. This is our 5th hurricane season and potentially the 3rd time we've had to evacuate. The last two times we went to panama city beach and stayed on the beach on the gulf and made a vacation out of it. Renting a house on the beach ended up being cheaper than renting overbooked hotels.

projections are back to keeping the hurricane off of the coast in florida, and our house is now almost completely out of the cone of uncertainty. We're also well inland and high enough to not be in any flood zones, so I'm not sure what we're going to do yet.

Those poor people in the bahamas are getting devastated, though. The storm has barely moved since it first hit and has been inching along at 1 MPH for hours while staying a cat 5. Right now half of Grand Bahama is in the eye as the eye wall slowly inches it's way across the island.

US incredibly fortunate that the stall didn't happen over the Florida coast somewhere. Florence was a cat 1 when it came ashore and stalled in NC, and it did like 20B in damages. Imagine what a hurricane like Dorian could've done. Recent trend towards stalling hurricanes not a good one, for sure.

74 and sunny here. Not supposed to rain this weekend as of yet. I'm like four hours inland from the Outer Banks, though. Charlotte rarely gets hit too badly by these things, especially if you live near uptown like I do. Usually it's the surrounding small towns like Gastonia and Concord that get hit because there are big trees everywhere that blow down and fuck shit up.
