I live in LA so I gotta hear their Laker bullshit all the time. Now that Phil Jackson is back with them, they are running their mouth's about a championship. Aside from that, this latest thing That I'm about to tell you got me really pissed. I don't know if they were just fucking with me or not. They didn't back off of it. They know how I get sometimes. So here it what these 2 Laker fans were saying.
The Lakers will trade Kobe Bryant to the Cavs straight up for LeBron James. Because with Phil back in town, they think Kobe is gone for sure. The Cavs will then turn around and trade Kobe to the Knicks for Allen Houston and 2 draft picks and possibly a couple other players(they didn't really go into much specifics). They kept saying bank it that the Cavs will trade LeBron to LA. they kept going with the LeBron doesn't want to be in Cleveland thing. Also, that Nike will pay LeBron a ton more money if he is in either LA or NY, and that this will happen. I kept saying that LeBron is like God in Cleveland and if Gilbert traded him now, it would be basketball suicide in Cleveland. Their typical response is who cares about the Cavs anyway. They will always suck. They also said that the Cavs can't afford to keep LeBron and pay anyone else to come in and help him, so they might as well trade him. They are also saying that LeBron can become a free agent after the 2005-06 season, so the Cavs will trade him. It's the old get something or lose him to free agency thing.
I know the National Media has been saying crap about LeBron not being happy in Cleveland, and that he will bolt as soon as possible. I've also heard rumblings that the higher ups in the NBA would rather have LeBron in LA or NY. That kind of shit just fuels the bullshit even more here in LA. I'm usually not this gullible, but I was drunk at the time. I want some answers from people who live in Cleveland. Should I be worried about this at all? I want some definate answers. Well, as much as possible. I'm really fighting this in my head.
