You know, I'd normally be upset because OSU has way more talent, but when a guy goes 8-10 from 3, well, what can you do.

Never been a big fan of Matta's coaching. Don't foul right away, but then you still foul the best shooter? Great recruiter but lackluster game coach.

They tried to foul right away and missed. With the defensive athletes on this team, there's no way they should allow one guy to go off like that. Bad coaching. How does this team constantly lose track of good 3pt shooters? That one fallaway three hit out of the time out with 4 seconds left was a dagger. Can't do much about that though.

What the hell has happened to William Buford. He looks like he's completely checked out for the NBA. Only time he looked good was when Paul got in his face after a block and he responded with 8 straight.

Good news is they'll be pissed/fired up for Indiana on Sunday.

Honestly the regular season for NCAA basketball means nothing. The team and coaching will be judged on how the perform in the tourny. And I've haven't been a Buford fan since he nearly lost the UK game by himself last year.

Point taken but its somewhat discouraging how this team looks completely lost during road games. Twice tonight they get up big and blew the lead with sloppy play. Do that in March and it will be a very short tournament (like last year).

Unlike the last few years, there is no real leader. Sullinger and Craft are sophmores and Buford has one foot out the door already, I get the impression that Thomas will follow him too.

Craft has made some head scratching decisions as well. Also, no excuses for Sullinger to not get a touch on every offensive possession down the stretch. The guy is one of the premier players in college basketball. He needs to be better utilized.

Still puzzling as to why Matta never uses his bench.. He has so much talent just sitting there being wasted. Lenzelle Smith shouldn't be starting, either.

I foresee another early exit from the tourney this season. It's a shame too because after this season, it's going to be a few years before this team is considered a title contender again.

The team has about a 0% chance of doing anything in the tournament with the amount of good teams that will be there this year along with Matta's typical uninspired coaching efforts.

Ah this team will get to the Elite 8. They are one of the three most talented teams out there. They'll be ok.

Brandon is the shit. He also makes one hell of a banana smoothie :p

Proud of my Illini.

The Buckeyes are having alot of issues in terms of their play. The most obvious has to do with their offense and the use of their bench. Both of these have been an issue since coach Matta has been here. What I have seen is a lack of substitutions every year which one stunts the growth of the younger players, and two it wears the guys down over the course of the year who are actually playing. Using this year as an example I see potential on the bench in terms of people that can play and the coach needs to make it a point to try and work them into the game. Freshman or not we have an athletic wing, a center who can take the load off of Jared, a point gaurd who can go in for craft when he starts getting out of control, and we also have a guy in laquinton Ross who everyone raves about yet we dont get the opportunity to see what the kid can do. This is just one of the problems that i see with what the buckeyes are doing as a team.

The second issue is the offense that is being run. For the last eight years, we have seen an offense where one or two players are moving and everyone else is standing still. As a fan it is hard watching this stagnant offense game after game and on top of that we are not seeing players setting screens for each other. How do you expect to take adavantage of the talent on your team if players are not being used correctly. I also feel that the offense takes a hit with the way aaron craft has been playing lately. It seems as if he is pressing to much and is trying to make plays when he should be controlling the pace of the game. Another thing is why does he find he needs to dribble to the corner or dribble in a circle under the basket. This does not benefit the team and as we have seen cause turnovers.

While this is some what of a rant, I am a huge fan and a support of coach matta and aaron craft who are two i seemed to call out the most on here. We have a coach who can bring in talent and point gaurd who is feared for his motor and defensive abilities, I just want to see some things change for the benefit of the team. Heres to the team picking it up and winning us another big ten title and hopefully more. GO Bucks!!

I can't say that I was upset by the loss to the Illini since the hoops regular season doesn't mean a whole lot. That said, I think that OSU was a better team last year. Diebler gave them a lethal and consistent 3 point threat that they don't have this season.

Lighty was the glue that held us together last year
Diebler was a factor too

Buford is a huge reason as to why I fear we go no further then the sweet 16 this year. His chucking ways will be the death of us I believe
