Indians @ Angels

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Progressive Field better be packed and rocking this weekend. No fucking excuses.

My dad and I are most likely heading their Saturday for our first game of the year. Just kind of watching the weather since it's a three hour drive from where we're at, but I'll have that place jumping if I'm there.

Chance to gain another half game today with the Twins, Rays and Athletics all in action.

Or lose a half game.....if the Twins lose today I think it would make a 2-1 series win much more tolerable for us. Still need to be thinking sweep, though.

Who's doing the game thread?

Even if the Indians were to sweep the Twins this weekend, it would still be an uphill battle.

Both teams still have 1 remaining series against the Tigers and White Sox. The difference in their schedules is the Indians play 6 vs. the Phillies and Nats, while the Twins have 7 vs. the Royals.

The Indians have the hardest schedule left between the teams left trying to get the central and the Wild Card. This wild card race will be decide by a game at the end it feels like.

The Rays actually have a tougher remaining SOS.

I'll be there Saturday and Tuesday. Only three games left for me this regular season.

Tuesday I have a group of 14... moved a lot of my season tickets around for that one.

Indians have more games left against above .500 teams if I am correct, but I could be wrong.

Remaining SOS:
CLE: .486
TB: .513

Remaining games vs +.500:
CLE- 9 (MIN x3, PHI x3, @WAS x3)
TB- 8 (@LAD x2,, BOS x4, NYY x2)

So that's not a bad thing, neither schedule is great, but by that notion the Indians should be wild card number 2 then while A's are wild card number one if you went by that info.

We need to set the tone tomorrow. Get out on top and don't let them back in. Critical to get a W on Friday.

feels like the Indians have owned the Angels for the last three decades.

Edit: looked it up. And it’s because they have. 119-94 since ‘94 for a .559 win percentage.

The Yankees absolutely own the Indians at 132-79 with the Indians having a .374 win percentage. For all their reg season struggles against the Yanks, they’ve fared well against them in the playoffs

But the Indians are .500+ against all other AL teams except the Rangers (105-114) oddly enough and the Sox (105-120).

I'm glad Trout was out for this series.
