The game balls goes to Jose Hernandez Two 2 Run homers and a single for a total of 5 rbi's. Also Travis Hafner the Yankees wanted no part of him but he drove in a pair ending the day with 60 rbi's, proving to be a biggeer snub then Jeter, yes folks Jeter may be the face of baseball but his 8 home runs and 30 rbi's (not actual stats) but he always has the lowest statistical totals of anyone on the team deserves to be home. But Scott Podsednik? no Pronk is the hottest guy in the game right now and was more deserving if you look on the right side where it says ESPN News Headlines on that page you get to vote who you think the A.L. MVP is and Hafner is one of the guys possible for the vote. And even the DH who I found is Shea Hillenbrand coughjokecough isn't as deserving. But now that thats out there are the game balls this was a big win for us glad we pulled it off.

Before we jump too hard on how much Hafner deserves to be an All-Star, remember when the player voting was done, almost a month ago. At the time Hafner was struggling and Hillenbrand was among the league leaders in BA. Pronk has been on fire of late, but it came too late for All-Star voting.

Yeah, that's what I don't like about the All Star Games in the MLB and NBA because some guys are more deserving but don't get it in time for the voting. That's what I like about the Probowl their being there is based solely on their entire season not just half of it and everything, they can still do the homerun derby and some other events but the All Star Game should be later in my opinion.

yea... a player can have one hell of an april and may, and get in... and if they fall out in june and july and augest, they are still considered an allstar... i agree with CDT, however the all stargame should be like in late august, right before crunch time and the final stretch

The average is right there, Homeruns go to Hafner, RBI's go to Hafner, Runs which means jeter's on a lot more go to him, and of course 10 bags to Hafner's none.

I mean sure you can have a slugger who is a bitch and can't even play 1st base or you can have an all around player, a team leader Derek Jeter who does whatever it takes, to win. I can list numerous things Jeter has done for him to carry his team. Jeter doesn't have to put up the numbers like he use to now, since of A-Rod, Sheffield, Matsui etc.

So Hafner is a bitch because we have two guys who can play 1B? What about Ortiz he plays DH is he a bitch? You just pretty much said he doesn't have to play well because has other players meaning he can be average and still make the team while hafner is having a good year. And whatever it takes to win? I'm not sure if you noticed but the Yanks have sucked royally until these last few games a team with a payroll of 200 million dollars should be in more then the wildcard hunt..i'm guesing ur a yankee fan..

CavsDawgsTribe.. Injuries! Randy was bothered by an injury, Pavano down, wright down, kevin brown down, mussina was the only healthy pitcher all year.. until now.. Randy is finally getting healthier..

The bats were struggling but now its all coming together.. It's a long season and the first part is done with now and they had a bad half, but it looks like its coming together now.. It dont matter what happens in the first half, all that matters is who plays in October and the Sox and O's are struggling a lot and the yanks are heating up and The Evil Empire is taking over again...

Don't get me wrong, Im an Indians fan also, but I think Hafner is a bitch because he can't play any position.. Ortiz plays First sometimes, but Hafner never does.. We got Ben and Pronk that can play first than they should switch it up but nope, he just the DH...

I'm not a fan of the DH, I don't really think it's a real position but who cares.. lol.. Giambi who is a horrible 1B is playing 1B almost everyday now and Hafner can't even do that.. Come on Hafner, learn to play 1st.. so that way when Juan Gone comes back he can play DH... if he doesnt pull another hammy
