Great game. Those passes to the bigs are there every time he drives.

I love the little things. There was a play when Michael I believe had a turnover and was the only back on defense against a 2 to 1 fast break and while most players would say why rush back on defense it’s over Mitchell disrupted the break and okoro was sprinting back and they stopped the break. I do understand he’s supposed to make those plays to stay on the court, but still.

He is what he is at this point and that’s ok. He’s still player needed going forward, but he has no will to score the ball. If he wanted he could get buckets in this league because the skill set is there. I still believe maybe one day he’ll get older more confident and become the dog I know he could be on both ends of the court. He can shoot has great form, no confidence is left open, when he drives the ball on fast breaks good things happen, you wish his rebounding was up a few more, but he does a good job battling bigger opponents on switches, he’s the perfect wing for this team if he can just start going hard on offense. He could average 18 points in this league. It’s not hard, hit three threes you’re halfway, get to the line and shot more. It’s what we need him to do. Send him to David goggins or someone and tell him to dare to be great.

Its a pipe dream. For him to hit 3 buckets from 3 he would have to shoot 10 per game. He will never get that many looks.

He has no finishing skills. He is a straight line driver who looks for contact or euro steps. His mid-range game is non-existent.

He's aggressive on defense so at least theres that? I like okoro and root for him but he's not the solution long term.

Okoro is an 8pts per game type player.
1-2 threes...1-2 layups...1-2 free throws.

He simply doesnt have the skillset to avg. 18pts

Coming to this thread is timely, because I have recently realized that the "Okoro Question" is an annoying one for me. People harp over his draft position, the lack of shooting, and at this point I ask only one question: does he lose the Cavs games? No. I can point to several games where Okoro contributed to winning in a major way over the course of this season.

I struggle to understand where more shots for Okoro in the starting line up as it is today makes sense. Where you get most of the team's points from Garland, Mitchell, Mobley and Allen. I do think there needs to be more movement in the offense and more passing when the backcourt's pull-up game is not hitting like that. I really don't want to see Okoro out there doing what Donovan (for example) is doing on offense. Okoro's offensive impact may be seen more when there is less ISO out there. There appears to be more opportunities on the bench unit in that regard.

Per cleaningtheglass.com, the Cavs' best lineup this year (over 150 possessions) has been Garland, Mitchell, LeVert, Mobley, and Allen at +13.4 points per 100 possessions. If you put Okoro into that lineup for LeVert it drops to +5.7. Putting Stevens in that spot drops it to -3.4.
