I don't think Bey is even worth the minimum. He isn't a buy low candidate like Lauri was. He's just a pile of trash. He's that bad of a player and he's hurt. He doesn't solve any issues this season. This trade doesn't help the team at all. Just letting Okoro walk is better then giving Bey any sort of deal.

Ok who don't you think is trash that we can realistically trade Okoro straight up for?

It feels like you seem to dislike almost every player that anyone proposes to trade for anyone on the Cavs.

Umm. I dislike Bey. Who else have I disliked? Cam Johnson but he isn't even a realistic target for Okoro. DFS? I don't hate DFS but trading Okoro for a declining 31 year old is wild.

I still look at Pistons who are rumored to have interest in Okoro and think Isaiah Stewart would fit perfectly as the 3rd big here. Not sure who all is realistic. But shame on me for not having interest in a injured Saddiq Bey who hasn't even been a productive player when healthy.

My best guess is the Cavs will retain Okoro on a 4 year, 65M contract. His shot will keep trending upwards. His playoff woes were likely because he was expected to be THEE guy that stops the opposing best scorer and he put all his energy into the defensive end. It's no surprise his shot went to shit when he has the monumental task on the other end.
If the Cavs are paying someone $16M AAV you best damn hope he can defend consistently hit outside shots all at once…

If not, it’s $10M too much…

Stewart is one that I would do.

I'm personally done with Okoro. The Knicks' first round defense left him open a lot. He shot 2.6 threes in 15 minutes of playing time in that series. It's reasonable for us fans to think okay, that's fine because he can work on it in the off-season and be better next post-season?

Instead, he comes back and averages 2.4 threes in 23 minutes against Orlando. That rate is lower than the rate against New York.

Cavs have issues generating 3s. I don't really believe they are all as bad shooters as they seem in the playoffs. There has to be a reason every damn guy went cold

Pistons have a lot of no shooting wings. Gonna be tough sell on Okoro

JBB is the coach. He loves non shooting wings. Also the Pistons hired Vinson away from Pelicans who fixed Herb Jones shooting. I think Pistons may try to get non shooters who are stout defenders believing Vinson can fix the shooting problems.

Not a terrible plan and Okoro shoots better than all of them. Still not sure he's the guy they need

Guy they need? Most certainly not. Someone JBB will want to help establish his culture? I think so. They have been linked to Okoro for a reason.
