Isaac "3 more years" & D Okoro

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

What do you think about the new contract?

  • Best move of the offseason

  • Okoro is a quality signing at a decent price

  • Better than over paying for some else's under performing free agent

  • He might be a useful piece in a trade some day

  • It will take some luck to make this worthwhile

  • Waste of money

Why is it that every time this kid puts in a great stretch of basketball, he gets hurt? Really hoping he comes back 100% and he continues showing out.

I'm a bit concerned with how long this is keeping him out.
Contract year, agent might want him to be 100% healthy before he plays. I would like to see him take the 3/4 role off the bench instead of niang. Better defense and shooting wouldnt be a problem since niang neither shot well as a cavs yet.

He had this last year. Extended time out with “knee soreness.” I feel like there could be something deeply wrong if this is a recurring issue that requires him to miss extended periods of time. When I say “deeply wrong” I mean something that will require surgery.

He played 76 games last year. I wouldn’t call missing six games the entire season “extended time out”.

I'm surprised there isn't more talk on him lately... He's had some real doozies as of late.

I've tried justifying him for years but geesh... other than his defense has he actually improved in any offensive category? Year 4 in the NBA and I'm not seeing much growth.

I understand that he's only played 14 games this year but....

3PT % is down..
FG% is down..
FT% is way down..
Assist still barely over 1 per game..
Only 3 rebounds per game on about a 25 minute average..

What is he actually doing to help us win games?

He's not good without a PG. How are his touches? Donovan is running the bench currently and is taking 5-6 shots for every assist.

Darius takes ~2.5 shots per assist and CPJ takes just over 2 shots per assist.

The bench is getting frozen out by Donovan and every time HE shoots poorly people complain about Wade, Niang, and Okoro who don't touch the ball for 15min at a time

I stick up for a lot of the Cavs players. But this guy... it's hard to see many redeeming qualities that justify the minutes he's getting.

The early season injury has really seemed to set him back and he hasn't been able to regain that same rhythm..

He started the season with four straight double digit games, going 5-12 from 3 and averaging 6 rebounds and 2 assists per game..

Go back and few pages and you can see the excite in his progress, then sure enough a game or two later he's injured and out for 3 weeks..

The last few games his 3PT volume has started to trend back up but those ancillary activity stats (rebounds, assists) haven't bounced back yet..
