Isaac Okoro - Thanks for the "defensories"

What do you think about the new contract?

  • Best move of the offseason

  • Okoro is a quality signing at a decent price

  • Better than over paying for some else's under performing free agent

  • He might be a useful piece in a trade some day

  • It will take some luck to make this worthwhile

  • Waste of money

Can he keep getting better? The playoffs were surely an indictment on his stock.

Fun fact: Okoro made more 3s this year than 4/7 years of Boobie Gibson's tenure with Cleveland...

Still think he winds up as an S&T candidate, preferably for a wing. Depending on our preferences, LeVert, Okoro S&T, and whiever we take at #20 could be an attractive package for the right team looking to dump a player and clear some salary. I’d prefer to keep #20, but I think there’s a number of teams that would offer 1 or 2 pieces in return for that package.

Okoro is still Tony Allen. When he was on a rookie deal with Boston, he could fill the role of 7th man on a contender. Once he signed that deal with Memphis, he was a liability to roster construction on a higher salary and starting. You need to build the team around his weaknesses or let those weaknesses bury you in a playoff series.

Guessing a 5 80 deal for Okoro. Overpaid, but Altman loves his 3 guard offense. Hope he still can grow some more. At least Mobley can rove more on the perimeter....

Only issue I have with this guy is he wears #35

It’s just a whack number for a wing player….

Needs to be a #9 or #15

Disagree. Should be #9 or #0.

The former fot the points he scores. The later for the number of rebounds and assists he gets.

Listen. Being the official Tony Allen translator on Twitter was a great job. He loved it enough to hook me up with some free signed merch.

Patrick Williams just got 5-years $90M. That's probably a pretty good comparison for an Okoro like deal.

Some risk to both sides, but could pay off huge 3 years down the line if Okoro improves and the salary cap keeps expanding.

RONs package is what the FO needs to use. He’ll likely get more which sucks because we’d all probably prefer RON to ICE.

C'mon -- O'Neale is 31 years old and has never averaged 9.4 PPG in his career, like Okoro did last year. Last year at age 30 his WAR was 0.9 as opposed to a 1.4 for a 23 year old Okoro.

Williams deal in Chicago is the better comparison, Okoro maybe a little cheaper.

4/60. Get it done Ferry. Should be easy to move in a SnT with someone

The question on everyone’s mind: Would LeBron give up the max to allow the Lakers to sign an impact player like Okoro?
