Isaac Okoro - Thanks for the "defensories"

What do you think about the new contract?

  • Best move of the offseason

  • Okoro is a quality signing at a decent price

  • Better than over paying for some else's under performing free agent

  • He might be a useful piece in a trade some day

  • It will take some luck to make this worthwhile

  • Waste of money

They are clearly doing something right. Worth monitoring
The Bulls are currently top 5 in APG (not surprised with a gifted ballhandler and offense orchestrator in Giddey) and top 4 in PPG allowed with an especially strong perimeter defense (allowing opp to shoot just 26% in 3; the next best team at defending the 3 is, curiously, Sacramento, at 31%).

I said at the time that both the Bulls and Thunder “won” the Giddey/Caruso trade. The Thunder got a player they needed to get over the hump (and he was key to their chip) while the Bulls got a very talented young player who just didn’t fit the Thunder roster.

Agree, I absolutely loved that trade for both teams. Caruso was the playoff difference for them last year, especially in that Denver series where he battled with Jokic. But I still like Giddey's game, and he's really thriving in Chicago where he can make use of his ballhandling talents. He couldn't do that in OKC as an offball player with SGA the primary ballhandler.

Especially strong perimeter defense. Did they add a defender? Somebody physical who does POA defense? Somebody with thighs?

Anyone watch any bulls games? I haven’t and I bring it up because Okoro’s stats this season are remarkable, in a bad sort of way. I like Okoro, and the Bulls are winning, but guys with stats like these don’t stay in the starting lineup for long.

My buddy who is a bulls fan has been very not a fan. Seems like they are seeing all thr stuff we had for the past 5 years only without yhe random 3 weeks of 40% 3pt shooting

Okoro is playing MUCH worse than when he was a Cavalier. Like Anthony Bennett bad. He needs to pick it up or he’ll be on the Cavaliers alumni team in Perth with Windler & Travers.

Okoro's minutes will take a dip when White comes back.
