While this is a new bridge that hadn't opened yet, I'm surprised that this sort of thing doesn't happen more often. We need to do something about our country's infrastructure. When I'm driving on I65 around Indianapolis I'm constantly having to dodge enormous potholes.

In the 1970s they ran commercials for a year or two for a company who had developed roads that don't get potholes. I forget what company it was, and apparently so did the people who make the roads.

I know we’ve had a few educators on here, thoughts on these new proposals?

"The budget request calls for a 5 percent spending cut, eliminates dozens of programs and pitches a $1 billion school choice proposal."

Translation: all special ed programs will be gutted and public schools DECIMATED.
Technically, decimated means to destroy by 10%, so our public schools will only be half-decimated.

Can anyone provide an example of a state or community that improved it's overall education (and more specifically, helped poor students) with these kinds of "school choice" measures?

How did this guy have so many damn bombs? Buncha bombings and he still had a backup suicide pack?

DOW down 1100 points in two days thanks to a needless trade war.
I've personally lost more money than I was set to get back from the tax cut. Great job Trump! It only took 1T added to the deficit to get me back below 0. MAGA

The President would be sued in court, and would lose almost immediately, for implementing those kinds of discretionary spending decisions.
Wait, so is that Tweet implying that the Executive is now in charge of the budget and spending?" And that Trump can choose not to disperse funds on a whim?

Damn, the booming economy was like the only thing the remaining Trump supporters had to fall back on. :chuckle:
Basically. If the economy took a downturn, accompanied with higher unemployment etc., this Administration would suffer more than others because a lot of people put up with his behavior only because of the prospect of a bullish market. We are no where near that scenario yet (the recent 3,000 point drop could just as easily be the correction that was due) but it could happen.

Which is why I am actually surprised that he is hell-bent on tariffs and a trade war. It is really committing political suicide if it doesn't pan out. Or, you know, starting an actual war.

Gotta wonder if Trump is trying to get himself impeached and just baffled that Republicans refuse to do it regardless of the idiotic things he says and does every day.

I think that was a theory tossed around during the campaign that he wanted to lose but people elected him anyway. It would be funny if it were actually the case.

"What do I have to do to lose here? What is wrong with you people?"
