Personally, I don't want:
a) a shoot first point guard
b) with a ton of miles
c) making $20 mil/per
d) who doesn't play defense
e) who is a 'volume shooter'
f) who's never really meshed with any great/good teammate
by all means, let's chase that guy
A) Hes like Gibson.. Shooting guard trapped into a point guards body. But who says he can't go back to SG if we got him? What will we do with West and Gibson? Iverson would play shooting guard.
B) Oh please, take this miles crap somewhere else. He is playing at a very high level, even at his age and the so called 'miles'. So you can think hes running low on gas, his stats show otherwise.
C) Hes opting out and going to get paid a ton less.. If you didn't know already.
D) He doesn't play defense? Thats why hes up there in SPG every year. Plus with our defensive system he can learn a thing or two.
E) Hes not going to be up there in field goal percentage, never was and never will be. Iverson will still be a scoring threat, especially with LeBron James on our team. He can easily take the load off James. The problem in Denver was they don't play defense.. We do.
F) Who was his best player? Melo? And look at the teams hes had to play with. Denver plays no defense whatsoever, so add defense to their game and they are a title championship team. Thats basically what we get with Iverson. The scorer we are looking for, a guy who can take the presser off James. Plus with Z and the shooters we have.. It opens up so much more.
None of those points don't change my mine whatsoever... And thats if we could get Allen Iverson, we should.
