Jacoby Brissett: Class Act

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Browns have finished above .500 three times since 1999:
Baker Mayfield
Tim Couch
Derek Anderson (Pro Bowl)

If I am ranking Browns QB’s since 1999, it’s that order.

How are you ranking them? Because if it's just "how much fans like this guy" then he has a chance to be #1, right? I'm not sure there's a QB fans have liked since the return.

Is Kelly Holcomb currently #1? Brian Hoyer?

It’s like my sister in law going on a tinder date and then telling my wife that she met The One:chuckle:

I respect his gangster because of how he leads and how he plays. I think he will be up there on the list, but that’s largely a testament to how bad the list is! He has played great, and it’s a small sample size, I guess I will leave it at that.

The hope here is that he is the walking embodiment of “next man up,” and we see similar professionalism & dedication from all of our guys going forward. Let’s just get to 3-1 and keep it moving, manufacturing wins.

Serious question, if you rank Jacoby amongst all of our QBs since 99. Where do you think he's gonna rank when he passes the torch?

We've only seen him play three games. Need a larger sample size.

We'll see how many wins we've got by the time Watson is back and then we can determine where Brissett ranks. Although obviously even wins are contextual. I'm not going to hold the Jets loss against Brissett. He played fine in that game. The defense lost us that one.

So Baker's not even a starter anywhere next season?
Seems reasonable.

Not even Detroit?

Please?

Baker is also the type to not be satisfied with a backup role so he'll be a problem in the locker room and with the media in that role.

Baker is extremely lucky that Matt Corral is out for the season.
