Jags to London in 2020?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I watched the Olympics. I am an expert on London. I have already read some Wikipedia articles.

Cant we just improve the quality of the teams that are in the USA instead of expanding? (Browns, Chiefs, Raiders, Dolphins, Bills etc)

The more I think about it, the more I want to see a team in Germany.

pROBLEM wITH fOOTBALL iN lONDON is the same with america and their concussion issues.. except less helmets more mouthguards

My neighbor owns the Jaguars and just recently bought the Fulham soccer team. I'm pretty good friends with his son, though he isn't around much here anymore (moved to FL to work for the Jags). He was pretty excited about the purchase of Fulham, but I really haven't heard anything from him about any possibility of the Jags playing in London. I'm sure his dad is probably testing the waters with the games over the next few seasons in London, and perhaps trying to market the Jags to the Fulham fans. Would be interesting, but I would be pretty surprised if they moved permanently.

One thing I have to wonder is how competitive you can be flying from London to the US for non-home games, unless the players would still live in the US and meet at a central point to get on a plane to go to games, no matter whether they would be home or away.

As much as the thought of international NFL play excites me, it just doesn't seem practical. Unless that England team had a REALLY staggered schedule (like 4 in a row at home, then 3 on the road, then bye, etc.), the traveling alone would be brutal. I could only imagine if a team had to play them on Monday Night Football and then was schedule to play at home on Saturday night. Brutal. The game is exhausting and trying enough as it is. I think Goodell and the league will pursue it, but once they see that it is not conducive to the players, they may scrap it. If London weren't a bitch and a half to get to, I would be thrilled at this idea.

Have you been there for a while? It's very nice to visit, but after living there for over a week I missed America badly. It's just a different culture and society over there. And NFL guys live a VERY American lifestyle.

London? I think Pyro has left the sate of Ohio twice. I heard the local Youngstown CBS watches to see if PYRO comes out his parents house in FEB to determine whether or not there will be 6 more weeks of winter.

If there's one thing we know about Goodell and the league, it's that they are extremely concerned with the players and their health, comfort, well being, etc. They are definitely not more concerned with profits above anything else.

I have a solution. It's not ideal but it could work. London team starts with 2 away games. Obviously this affects none of the other teams because there are no bye weeks in weeks 1-3. All of London's home games are played between weeks 3-11 for their 8 home games. This happens so that whatever team comes over to play in London can have a bye week the following week. So say the Browns went to London in week 5. They would receive a bye in week 6. If you notice, that is 9 weeks. So London could have a bye week in there, or a bye week in week 11 and then have to go on the road for their remaining 6 games in weeks 12-17.

Now would you want a team having 8 home games in a row? Do you want a team having 6 road games in a row? Probably not. But it's an idea lol. If they moved the bye weeks back two weeks in a row they could have London play 4 road, 8 home, 4 away.

All I know is the NFL has to figure this out.

What team would sign up for that type of schedule though? Plus what happens if that team with that brutal schedule somehow makes the playoffs?

Who knows. It was only an idea I know it's not perfect lol. Best case scenario is probably making sure whoever goes to London at least has a home game the next week. 8 home games in a row for one team probably isn't realistic at all nor is it doable to make sure every team has a bye week after they go to London.

The NFL has to figure out how to make it so you're not a huge disadvantage if you're the unlucky teams that have to go play in London. I'd hate to be in their division and have to go over there every year.
