Last night Allen entered the game in the 4th quarter with 6:58 left and the Cavs up by 4 points. In the next 2.5 minutes Allen had three defensive rebounds, two offensive rebounds, scored two points, and the Cavs were up by 11. He really came in and made an immediate impact.

I'd still rather have Isaiah Hartenstein.

I feel like Allen does not get the “credit” that Mobley and garland do sometimes.
How we got allen out of Brooklyn is still a mystery to me

Its because Allen is older. He made huge offseason improvements on footwork and passing, so at 24 he isnt done growing, but Garland and Mobley are only 20 and 21 respecrively, their games will grow so much more. Its going to be allot of fun to see these growths.

Allen certainly seems to wilt against physical teams. Happened last year too…

Allen was the leader of the choir tonight. He pretty much packed it in from the tip. You could see its impact on Mobley and Garland throughout the game.

Bad night for him but I won't overreact. I certainly don't think there's an abundance of evidence that Allen wilts against physical teams.

Not necessarily, no, but he's not a bruiser. None of our bigs are. Allen is a bouncy rim runner who can and will get worn down if we play a slow, static type of half court offense, and he has to spend all his time wrestling bigs on both sides of the ball.

two games in a row the opponent played through our big men for rebounds. Not a great look for three 7' guys unable to control the glass. Hope it gets corrected.

(I still love Jarret Allen, though)
