Jim Schwartz: 2023 NFL Asst. COY

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Why is it hard to believe Stefanski only makes 3.5M? He’s was a first time HC and we didn’t get into a bidding war with any other teams. And wasn’t it wildly reported that fangio got more money than mike McDaniel over the offseason to be his DC? So I don’t think it would he outlandish to think a proven elite DC would get paid more than an unproven HC.

There was no bidding war for Schwartz like there was for Fangio. Fair or unfair, he simply wasn't in demand like Fangio was.

Fangio had... what? at least 3 teams willing to hire him on the spot this past offseason? Schwartz didn't even get any interviews in the 2021 cycle and got turned down for the jobs he did interview for in 2022.

And I'd be willing to bet McDaniel got bumped up to at the very least the same money as Fangio got. There's a reason why these NFL coaching salaries aren't made public.

Who says they aren’t public? You can find just about every coaches salary. I think it’s public unless they’re not apart of the coaches union.

The figures you're seeing online are not necessarily accurate. The NFL does not officially disclose coaching salaries.

The ones we do know like Sean Payton and Vic Fangio are because that coach's agent specifically went out of their way to leak the amount to Schefter or someone on the national stage because they wanted the "highest paid/biggest guarantee" eye popping dollar figure out there.

I mean i did very little research, but lowest paid per these articles, multiple sources have him at 3.5.

From sportskeeda:

and from the article you posted they said “according to NBC”… but then there’s no trace of NBC as a source to this linked and I couldn’t find it anywhere on X

I really don’t think this is a credible source. i wouldn’t even trust them to report on the so-called Cikibgs

I dont care enough, but about 5 articles has Stefanski at 3.5 million, not sure why he is the lowest paid coach in the NFL, but he is per many articles, sure they could all be quoting each other, but chances are more than not he makes 3.5 mill a year. But who cares, it was a joke anyways.

From the three articles you shared...

"Every contract is individual to the coach and the organization, so it is difficult to generalize. Stock options may be included, as could be performance bonuses. Not every franchise publishes financial details of the front office or coaching staff, so there are coaches out there who could fall anywhere along the pay spectrum."

"*salaries are approximate"

"**unknown NFL coaches salaries"

The "Sportskeeda" and "Coaching Rumors" links you shared are copy/pastes of each other.

Sportskeeda first paragraph: There is no reason to feel bad for the lowest paid NFL coaches. They are still making over 3 million dollars each season. And one good season is enough for some teams to award long term contract extensions — the Bengals signed head coach Zac Taylor through 2026. Let’s check out the top 5 lowest paid NFL coaches in 2022.

I say again... don't believe everything you read.

I heard a rumor KS wants to get paid at least $5M, and he is going to continue running gadget plays for Elijah Moore until his demands are met.

Where’d you hear that? Probably sportskeeda.

I’m not going to comment on the salary part because I’m not too interested but to the remark that Schwartz wouldn’t get another HC look because he was proven to not be good at it before, Jeff Fisher is sitting pool side somewhere laughing his ass off.

This league will recycle burnit tires. It’s the land of 4th chances. The only reason he wouldn’t be one in the near future is because he doesn’t want it anymore.

I read on careerbuilder that they’re looking at Kevin Porter Jr for the Texans job if Demeco doesn’t work out.
