Fuck yes.. My man @TitleTown with the much-needed Safari Thread..

There's been considerable discussion about this elsewhere on the board but should be here as well. IMHO, the Cavs should absolutely try to get Jimmy Butler.

The trade I proposed earlier was Sexton, Nance and Clarkson for Butler. That allows for the Cavs to create a max cap slot ($32.7M) next summer while having Love and Butler under contract/cap-hold.

The question I posed elsewhere was, what trade package from a team with the ability to add an additional max free agent beats the Cavs maximum offer? I don't think there's that many...

Woj saying on ESPN that Thibs may be thinking his firing is imminent at the end of the year regardless of what happens.

I posted about this as a possibility earlier this summer, too. Although I didn't offer any trade ideas...only that I thought it was possible that a Love, Irving, Butler combo could happen in Cleveland in the near future.

If Kyrie wants to "one up" his Daddy LBJ, the best way to do it is return to the Cavs and win a title here WITHOUT LeBron.

I’m not remotely interested in Butler given his free agency status and age.

I want to watch Sexton, Cedi, and Nance grow. Not trade them.

No one is beating Golden State anyway and we just lost James.

I want to go young, rebuild, and put together a great core as Golden State starts their descent from the mountaintop.

Yes. I. Am.

I'm never afraid to dream. It's sad world for people who are too afraid to dream.
Oh give me a break. We’re talking about an old, breaking down basketball player who can’t get along with teammates. He’s past the stage of caring. He’s all about the money now. If he hates Minnesota, why’d he love Cleveland?

I like the fact that Gilbert is at least exploring this. If we can do it without giving up Sexton and Cedi. This could be the building year to attract a free agent like Kyrie or another star to be part of a big 3. A big 3 that has the potential to turn to a big 4 if Sexton or Cedi develop properly.

We don't really know what the value of Butler is. He was traded a year ago because the Bulls thought they would get the most value with 2 years left on his contract. Even then it wasn't a massive price. It was Lavine coming off injury, Chris Dunn, and moving up 9 spots in the draft (#16 to #7 in the first round).

We also don't know what they value with just extending KAT and having Wiggins on the roster. Will they allow Thibs to have input on it. .

Completely agree...

But what if we could get him without giving up too much of our youth? If you were Cavs' GM what would you be willing to trade for him?

C'mon...it's ok. Dream a little ;)
