JJ Redick

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Yeah, but much like JJ Redick, we found out that Shannon was not ready, nor looks to be an NBA caliber player..

Shannon is a beast if you like guys that can't shoot, dribble, defend etc...

Shannon leads the league in 4.2 DOTFPG (dribble off the foot per game) when he was with us. God bless his soul.

I think Redick could be a Vujacic-type player, because of his ability to knock down shots and find opportunities to shoot. I'd be fine with using him the way the Lakers do-put him in when Kobe sits, let him knock down a couple of deep ones, sit him back down, put him out there to stretch the floor during crunch-time. For what it's worth, he had a monster summer league, and anyone who has one skill like he does has a place somewhere in the NBA.

Watching JJ in college was fun. The man rarely ever even hit rim. He may not be ready for the pace of the NBA yet, but he can flat out shoot from anywhere on the floor. I'd be all for him.

No, No, No.

I do not want to see another Duke product touch the court as a Cavalier. Ever.

I think if he was given more PT he would be more consistent than sasha...

Didn't JJ also have some sort of back injury or issue when he was drafted? If the Cavs are interested in him they would need to make sure the back is sound. As we know back injuries can basically end careers and white shooting guards with back injuries can end gm's careers if they trade for them.

If healthy though, i'd take a flier on the guy. He can shoot the ball and the more shooters we have around the Lebron and Z the better off we are.

JJ was a good college player, but isnt ganna make it in the NBA.

We have 2 many spot up shooters on the roster as is. Wally, Boobie, Damon, Sasha, even Z. We need someone that can create and shoot off the dribble, Lebron and Delonte are the only ones that can.

You never can have enough shooters. His lack of defense though or rather his inability to play NBA level defense is what will kill this. There is no way Mike Brown would want someone like him on the roster for that reason alone. (unless we traded away some of the other guys who don't play D, Damon Jones, Wally)
